I'm pretty sure in a 50+ game season all three would get good amounts of games. Keep in mind we had very short domestic cup runs this season, and all three of Pav, Crouch and Defoe got plenty of first-team football, even with the latter being injured for a large part of the season. I Don't think we'd have a problem in juggling VDV with 2 other new strikers and one of our current lot (most likely Pav). Especially if we get towards the business end of the Uefa Cup.
Plus, I wouldn't refer to Huntelaar or Vucinic as 'uber' strikers. They're a tier or two below what we should be going all out to get. I'd be happy with them though.
I agree their not exactly uber strikers, but my point was that we are unlikely to sign two of these big guns, big money strikers. If we were City or Chelsea your point would be valid but we are not, and we have never spunked huge sums with big wages on players with the intention of merely strengthening our "squad" and to sit on the bench waiting for their turn. To be honest, there's only two clubs in our league that have. Even ManU and Arsenal don't really do this.
And I think this why we heard we are looking for one experienced and two younger ones. This makes far more sense for a club like ours. Look at the moaning and problems we've had accommodating Defoe, Keane and Pav.
