A long read to catch up, with some very concerning comments about the hierachy at Spurs. IMO, and I guess this comes from expereince over the last few windows, I think we will:

- Finally get rid of Modric
- Sign Dembele or equivalent Modric replacement (position-wise, not talent), but it won't be Moutinho (unfortunately)
- Sign Willian
- Sign a back-up striker - can't see it being LD until Jan.
- Loan Jenas, Hudd, Daws and Bentley
- Not sign a keeper (sadly). It's almost like Friedel has a clause in his contract, stating that he must start to maintain his Cal Ripken-like streak.

On another note it seems this window, whilst probably not being super successful for us, will be known for Akqa's drunken enthusiasm and the following cracker sayings:

- Meltdown !!!
- Chill, we got this
- Falcao. Goodnight (or "insert any players name". Goodnight.)

It's been funny. Talk of multi millions of investment, a couple of 25m players, a few 10-15m players. It was always going to be bullshit.

Agree Kendall, but we do it to ourselves every year. People start believing the rumours and then when they don't come off (usually because they were bollocks to begin with) they call for Levy's head. This is not a dig at ITK's but all the stories from papers etc...

He's got experience on the wings from what some were saying.

And, I think with us having Sherwood there for the CL match, and reportedly having a scout (not sure if it were Sherwood or someone else) there for the Mallorca match, to pair with the bid submitted for him, we've definitely got interest in him.

Even if we brought him on for wing cover, some creative flair in the midfield when the situation presents itself, and simply just mold him into the player we want, he'd be a fantastic buy as one for the future.

Yes he can play the wings, but reading between the lines it seems we're some way down the road with Willian. I'm assuming that's going to get done, and even if it doesn't, knowing how specific AVB is in his wants, I think that he will be targeting another pacy and direct winger/forward (Aubamayeng?) to provide natural wide competition to Bale and Lennon. This is why I am not categorizing Isco as a primary prospect for that area and it constitutes another reason as to why I wonder where we would foresee him fitting in.

Of course I know that we hold a significant interest in him. What JJ has said and not said is enough for me to realise that. I am just curious as to where we would see him positionally and what that would entail for certain other members of the squad, as I don't see him as a natural option for what AVB would want either at CM or on the wing. That said I would like us to make room for him anyway because I think he is going to be brilliant.
