I honestly have no idea. It's weird, but it's a lot of money being thrown around and their could potentially be more to spend.

I mean, it could be Levy counting Bale's future fee as money in hand. But, I think most would agree that's not how we, or Levy, operate.

I was under the impression that the TV money was around 30m extra per club. But wasn't that coming into effect after next season even though it's guaranteed?

Just to back it up, not that you need any help on that front from me JJ, but I was told the other day, as I alluded to in our last conversation that the young CB was going to be coming, and now told that the other will be too. Very exciting.

If I'm being completely honest, I really didn't think we would have a shot at Halilovic given how highly regarded he is. It's just unreal that we could land a talent like his at 17 years old. I shudder to think how good he could be in 2-3 years.

Lets not worry about the money.

-We havent had a sizeable net spend in quite a while now
- We have come close with several big bids over the past years, telling me there is money there if needed ie Rossi first time, Mata, Hazard etc etc
- We are receiving more money this year
- It has always been unclear to me how much exactly our funds have apparentlty been drained going towards the new stadium. Its a common explanation that I see.
- Wages are our issue. We don't want our wage bill to exceed a certain percentage of our turnover, but that doesn't that we don't have money sitting somewhere to inject on transfer fees.
- we don't physically need the money the instant we buy someone. Our club is worth x amount, our collateral is worth x amount, our good credit with banks is x high, we have x amount of installments coming in from players we sold etc etc

If he's half as good as you think he could be it will certainly soften the blow if/when Bale leaves a year from now.

I was under the impression we get it next summer. But every EPL club is guaranteed an extra 30m. That's guaranteed money. So, perhaps Levy is viewing it as money in hand? I don't know.
