United have Hernandez and Rooney and are looking at Austin apparently. Arsenal have Wellbeck and Giroud plus Walcott, Chelsea, Costa, Falcao and Remy, Liverpool ings benteke origin I could go on. We have Kane, chadli is not a striker and neither are the others and I cannot see them being effective their. If we don't sign a striker I would be AMAZED and seriously worried about the decision making. I cannot for a second think the club are not going to address it.
United don't have Hernandez anymore. He's off to Leverkusen

Worth keeping an eye on this guy as far as West Ham stuff is concerned, he's bang on again. De ja Vu as far as Ade is concerned, this is an identical situation to January. The deal we would have agreed elsewhere is again not transferable to the Razzle twins. Villa still interested aswell but this is Ade. THERE IS ALWAYS A BLOODY STICKING POINT!

Ade, Fazio, Lennon, Lamela and possibly Townsend out and 2 in by tomorrow sounds unrealistic. I think we'll end up with a striker, either Berahino or some other panic-stricken acquisition and no midfielder and Ade and Lennon out. Unless Juve are really stupid and they buy Lamela off us today.

22 is not 18. Yes he will have the ups and downs in form that come with youth but his body is fully developed - he's not playing in his teens like Owen and Pato.

Pretty sure Nicky Barmby developed shin splints when he played for us because of over work and wasn't he about 22 at the time?

Can't see Levy's logic here

Even if they split the wages down the middle it is 50k a week off our wage bill

Barmby missed the start of the 1993/94 season with shin splints and he would have been 19 then.
Edit: Just found out he was out for 6 months with it when he was 18.

Aah thanks, younger than i thought, but Kane looks exhausted already, not the same player as last season, hasn't had a proper rest, when tired more likely to get injuries, it would be madness on a sectionable scale to have him as our only striker for bulk/all the season

I don't know what Lennon has done, but surely he doesn't deserve being flogged off to West Ham? Hell, not even Ade deserves that. Poor souls.

IMO, Kane situation is nothing to do with fitness. If he gets the first goal, things will change quickly

I think its unfair to even call it a situation. He's missed one great chance against Everton. In the previous games he's been completely isolated. He missed a chance against Stoke that comes to mind, but that was an unlucky instinctive shot from close range. Not much else he could have done with that.

The only bad miss, again, is the one vs Everton. Apart from that, with the exception of the odd wild shot from distance, his link up play has been good where possible, bearing in mind it's Mason, Dembele and Chadli in support.

Once we get our new signings in the team we'll see a different scenario altogether.

Erm .. I am 60 this year and running out of years so the sooner the freaking better. As if.
Jonathan Pierce can barely commentate on a game of football let alone have any inside knowledge whatsoever on our transfer dealings

I was sat next to Jonathan Pierce commentating on the radio at the Blackburn Carling Cup final. It was so frustrating watching a game live whilst someone next to you got virtually every player's name wrong when they had the ball. He spent so much of the time glued to the bits of paper in front him. He had no idea what was going on in the game. His co-commentator (Roy hodgson) even rolled his eyes at me to imply how bad he was!

All these posturing, press statements from WBA, Berahino not playing & we selling Soldado (& Adebayor possibly) doesn't make sense if we don't sign him today.
