So you definitely think it will happen? Good, I rate Lloris. I know people don't seem to think that a GK is a priority but world-class goalies aren't always readily available - am worried we'll miss out if we don't go for it now and Brad can't go on forever...

If we persist with playing a high line then a quick keeper is a priority.

What's concerning is that we've pretty much ditched all our striker and winger cover and I can't in a million years see us having cover in place for the trip to Newcastle. Imagine an injury to Bale/Lennon - we'll be up sh*t creek without a paddle.

townsend and gio? im not sure if that is AVB's thinking, but it would save a few bob if he intends to develop these guys.

everything seems to be pointing to Ade and LD, which i would be extremely happy with. Throw in Lloris, and a top replacement for Modders and we are ready.....JUST GET IT DONE WITHIN THE NEXT 10 DAYS!!!!!

This is probably me insanely optimistic/crazy but might we have Gio back for Newcastle? Or will he want a break afterwards? He's in fairly amazing form so it might be worthwhile to just try and slot him straight into the side to see if he can get a good Spurs run going.

Yeah, i'm probably crazy...

A little different this year as he's with Mexico instead of us but has Gio ever had a bad pre-season.

Thanks!;)

Just with the talk of wingers, am I the only one who thinks Lennon may not be a key man this season? Just a feeling I get...

To be honest Townsend is looking better than Lenny at the moment. Not saying he will replicate that in the prem week in week out, however I am happy for him to be on our bench and step in when required!

I was thinking the same thing. Perhaps Lennon could be one of the departures mentioned by JJ that some people will be disappointed with?

Wouldn't it be nice to sign Players from the best footballing countries in the world?

I think that's what we are trying to do. If we pull it off then arsenal can fucking do one. Even after signing the players they have

England? :)

I jest. We're signing one or some Brazilians. Tegan knows stuff and is desperate to share, I reckon

I'd be surprised and I hope not. He's pretty good at cutting in but needs more encouragement to do so - in fact, I'd like to see him playing a much more central attacking position as the default setting at times.

thinking about it could see

Dawson,Lennon,Hudd being the ones in trouble and maybe rafa?

Rumours as well that Gallas is not good enough for the high line which i think is a load of shit hes our best centre half next to kaboul!

Unpopular departures could well be Dawson & Lennon both fans favourites? and we have all been excited about Huddlestone coming back if he was to leave we could be sad if you add as well that defoe may well be off!

Dawson,Lennon,Huddlestone,Defoe,Van Der Vaart,Gallas

Could well be two of that lot? it would upset a lot of us i would be most gutted with Van der vaart or lennon going

That's all I'm trying to transpire. There is obvious ambition. Don't all be doom merchants. I know I can't check news with Harry like I have done the last 4 years but I trust JJ and I trust his enthusiasm.

He has told me who we are looking at and all the sensible amongst you will appreciate I can't steal thunder and blurt out names but I can tell you that there is no doubt in anyone's mind, these players are world class.

And to sign them all would cost upwards of £90m in transfer fees alone.

We would need to be brave.

Let's just wait and see.
