Modric: 32 Appearances, 3 Goals, 3 Assists
Huddlestone 15 Appearances, 2 Goals, 2 Assists

(In the Premier League last season)

I agree with the point your making and can't believe how people forget how much of a impact hudd makes

Like I said in the modric thread both similar but modric is a more mobile and agile hudd and they complement each other like a poor mans xavi and iniesta

Huddlestone dictates the tempo and modric changes the tempo using his change of pace and agility to unlock defences

If we played them in a 4-3-3 we would have fared alot better last season, if modric goes I think VDV can play the modric role like he did for Real and does for holland

As far as I know Modric has not handed a transfer request. That is a very important factor in this saga and Levy will not be held to ransom. There are a still lot of twists and turns before this comedy is over. In any case, if he goes it will be for nothing less than Stg 40 million and it will not be Chelsea.

It really makes no difference if He officially hands in a transfer request. He has done this with the direction of Abramovic and joorabchin.
We cannot sell to chelsea.

I'm sure real Madrid would be interested and to subsedise the deal they could offer diarra and higuain/benzima. I'd rather take £30m from abroad than take £50 from the chavs.
Also I would ensure a sell on clause stating that He cant be sold back to any other epl team...

Not in that way I don't

Its always been a nightmare of mine that he would end up with us as I think he is a arry type of player, it is such a relief to know he is now going somewhere else....phewwwww

What it truly amazin, Hotty, is that I saw his debut for Chelea when he was still barely legal. he scored an absolutely blinding hat-trick, and everyone thought he would be phenomenal.
Based on that, alone, I was quite excited when he was linked with us a few years later (on loan from the Chavs, I think).
Now...:pray::pray:...that shadow never darkens our door (except in the visitors' DR)

Even if the decision is to sell him, make sure he submits a transfer request. That would save the club 10% that would be due to the bastard if we sell him without him submitting a written transfer request.

And if nobody elae want him and he goes to Chelscum for a record fee, the first time we play them, send out a junior player with no hope of ever making the PL; give the guy a million pounds to break his legs.

I doubt that he would be able to claim any kind of loyalty bonus now evn without an official transfer request.

I don't think that's loyalty bonus, but some sort of compensation for the inconvenience of uprooting family for not having requested a move.

Quotes like "let me move to..." will be constituted as a transfer request.

That's a disgusting thing to say, end of the day it just football. It's not life or death.

sell him to inter milan or milan or malaga or someone like that. under NO circumstances should be be sold to rival for top 4 spot in league. now that really would be a joke. if intermilan sell sneijder to manchester then get a deal going with them why not? i cud handle that but not seling to rival. thats way he is out of sight out of mind.

If I was levy and wanted to sell him but save face, I would say something along the lines of: "He is our most important and best player, much like Torres was to Liverpool. To us, he is a better player than Torres, and if he isn't as valued by Chelsea, then so be it. We do not want to sell him at all, but his recent comments have indicated that he is willing to cause us a problem. We are deeply disappointed by these comments, very surprised. But for us, we will never be held ransom for a laughable fee just to give a player who is essentially backstabbing us his wishes. We will never sell unless it matches a UK record bid."

and then go out and do exactly what liverpool did, replace him and then some instantly

That is all well and good, but who can we get as a replacement for Modric? We are not a champions league club, we can't pay the big big wages. Having 50 million for transfers is useless, because anyone that costs half of that will demand more in wages then we'd be willing to pay.

Not to mention that, what kind of message does that send to our current plays and future players? Our Chairman has gone back on his word.

It is all well and good making comparsions to Liverpool, but weather you like it or not they are a bigger name then us and can pay the bigger wages.

We can't sell Modric now, not after all that has been said. Not this window at least.

deep down you know that wont happen. we will take money, talk the talk and then do nothing cos we pay peanuts.

we can take the money that we already have for transfers, add to it with the mulah, get a top quality striker and midfielder and then spread the rest around for wages.

That’s a disgusting suggestion. Makes me ashamed to support the same club as you. Get a grip.

i like this, the onyl problem is chelscum could find a way aorund it by getting another club theyre friendly with buy for them and then buy off that club. the only way this clause would work would work would be having a stipulation along the lines of if madrid sell him to a club who then sells him to the epl they are liable to pay us a ridiculous fee. this way they'd make sure it doesnt happen.

Let's not overreact now it was probably said in jest. I really wish we had other ITK to discuss than luka. I would even take another cryptic right now! The Rossi stuff is leaving me cold right now as the ITK on it hasn't moved forward since January. Its about time we had a public offer put in so Ssn have something else to write about us!
