Brazilian Journalist @Cynegeticus:

Internacional's vice-president said today there was no offer from Tottenham, but they admit selling him.

Just to make it clear. What the Internacional VP meant is: no offer yet, but if a good one comes...+ ...Leandro Damião could be sold.

IMHO this window is crucial. If we don't get the quality players we need to get us into the top 3 (4th wasn't good enough last season), then we could suffer the loss of too many of our best players.

Quite frankly I would prefer NOT to have ITK on top strikers, goalkeepers or wide men, etc, if it meant that Chelscum or Woolwich Wanderers snatch those players to spite us. AND as for the guessing games as to who the ITK may apply to *?%$ OFF. Sports reporters DO read this site and our competition do read the papers - and probably this site as well. Come on guys, just THINK!

That is very encouraging regarding Leandro....although we may need to move pretty quickly!

What are the odds that City, United, Arsenal or Chelsea will finish outside the top four and win the CL?

Paranoia. I wouldn't put it past Chelsea, mind, but Arsenal do not have the funds and are too well-run for this sort of thing.

I think the ITK culture at SC is bigger than at COYS:censored:, just that the last two windows have been really bad

But it wasn't. It's just after Dan that it went really bad here, followed by Ryan and Adie. Before that it was just a fun chat. Then the culls at 606 and coys, the new "ITK" and suddenly its serious and nasty. If having ITK means it has to be mean and nasty then I prefer the days we took scraps from SO and FTL any day of the week.

Is it Paranioa if they really are after you!

Bearing in mind Chelscum sacked AVB last season, I wouldn't be surprised if RA WAS paraniod about AVB being successful with us. He certainly has the money to endulge his whims and, if that is the case he could easily spend more than that just to try and make sure we are not above them in the league at the end of the season. :cautious:

I think they were expecting to let Leandro go and replace him with Forlan but with Oscar leaving they need to go for Ganso, so probably let Leandro go to generate funds(which they needed in the first place before they sold Oscar for more than their asking price

Very refreshing to hear from avb about making a signing in the next few days..

Can only mean what JJ has mentioned on twitter for us fans to be excited.

Seems to me that we have for sure been working behind closed doors on a deal.

Would love to bring in a striker before valenica game.

The full AVB quote was "in the next few days, weeks maybe"

Didn't specifically say we'll hear news in the next few days.

I remember a time when we had no ITK and we were perfectly happy. It's all you castoffs from COYS that seem to think its important. Most of us just find it a bit of fun and PM about it in a way that is completely contradictory to the way we speak of it in the open forums.

I like it and have never been near COYS.
SC all the way.
How long have you been around Happy? Did you used to post under another name?

Oh and I haven't caught up yet but if folk don't know yet, JJ said hello in the itk thread...which kinda suits this conversation!
:)

Weeks. That's hardly very positive. We must sign one before the Newcastle game else this season will be painful.

To be totally fair, even signing a player tomorrow, how much can we expect them to matter by Newcastle? new team. new tactics. add new player and we all have to expect time to adjust.

Maybe, maybe not. I'm pretty sure Adebayor and Parker hit the ground running last season and that our season wasn't over after the first two games (like so many were claiming) last year.

Where you have me, most definitely, is Ade. He walks in adapts quickly. But most striker need more time.

A new striker, whoever he is, will make a massive difference over Defoe starting that game though.

I agree a new striker will need time though without doubt. Let's just hope we get one!
