believe me because we had so many top players missing in the second leg at whl we could have lost that match ;it went to the wire
if we had lost he would have had to walk off without the trophy
we have historically had the right players but the wrong man to manage them
in burkenshaw we had the right man we are still waiting for the right man
we have a fantastic squad but a long list of underperforming managers
lets hope danny boy can have some good luck in his next choice of manager
because all he has had is bad luck in his choices
you may say it is not luck but selecting the right man
if only it was that easy we would not have had these wilderness years
schoular could not get the right man
sugar could not get the right man
levy up till now has not got it right but has taken us from a mid table team to one that is almost there

What a great night that was, a real never say die spirit, epitomised by Roberts. It topped off a really successful period for the club, 2 FA cups and a UEFA cup in 4 seasons. Can't help thinking what might have been if Keith Burkinshaw had stayed on, massive mistake to let him walk away.
