I hope the woman was okay, but the story is medical doctors (I'm assuming the club doctor was involved) helped to provide medical care to an injured woman. They just happened to work for Manchester City.
It's what professional medical people do. Wouldn't be too good if you had to fill out a questionnaire (including 'What team do you support?) each time you went to A&E. Having said that, a big thankyou to everyone who does this for a job.

One of the only reasons the NHS hasn't fallen to it's knees entirely - the front line staff are incredible people who do it because they care. I doubt there's many other industries in the world that would retain such a loyal workforce with the shit they get put through.
I've seen doctors and nurses coming off the back of a ridiculous 30+ hour shift only to come across someone outside the doors to A&E needing help and, without a moments hesitation, turn straight back around, on with the game face and lead them up the steps. Incredible people.
