If Liverpool spent that 80 million on a couple of decent defenders they really could challenge this season, but spending all that on yet another pacey wide forward seems crazy to me.

Perhaps they're playing a smart long game- get CL football by having a shit hot forward line, then spend at the back a season later

I'm not being funny but Lemar will join any of the other big clubs if they make a bid over us because they'll offer far higher wages. He will only sign for us if we are the only club to have an offer accepted.

This windows has been quite illuminating in a way if news on Barkley and Llorente choosing Spurs over Chelsea and Foyth preferring us to PSG is to believed. Maybe $€¥ and a trophy cabinet isn't actually the be all. So I wonder at this time given a choice, if Lemar would sign for Spurs rather than Arsenal too? if we have an interest of course.
