Theres some real exaggerations and knicker twisting going on. I don;t recognise this fanbase sometimes.

The biggest hypocricy on SC is the Liverpool thread. In which fans often call them 'entitled', 'whingers' etc etc. Look at yourselves. I see it in here as much as it is commented on about them. Nothing is a sure thing in any sport. A loss of 3 games is disappointing, it's worthy of discussion especially the manner of the defeats. It sits on the manager and the players. But it's only 3 games. I thought Spurs looked much more lively.

Somewhere along the lines a few fans have lost sight of this. If you want mega money signings you ain't supporting the right team/. The scousers, chavs, Citeh and Yanited are but a shirt purchase and a channel change away.

Chill out.
Soul changing aswell!

Do you believe everything written on the internet or printed on a piece of paper?

Well that's obviously false equivalence...

An article written in major broadsheet cannot be written without provenance...

In fact the article opens with the line "several Tottenham players claim..."

This means that the writer has spoken to Tottenham players and that is what they said...

If no tottenham players said this the the paper opens itself up to legal redress from the club.

The only question really is which players and how senior.

Have you ever worked at a major Newspaper or know someone who has/does?
I agree with VSLP and yes I do
It starts with a question very understated and then extrapolated into something much more sensational They have to sell papers

You know the saying Dont let the truth get in the way of a good story

Danny Rose is usually good for a soundbite these days. Considering he did fuck all at the world cup ... Yeah.

You keep believing though. I'll wait for when any club in the prem. Goes looking for legal from a newspaper. Ever.

I simply hate that song.
I'm cynical about modern football in general for a number a different reasons, but not fickle. Fickle are those who have commented wishing for an oil baron to take over our club after three poor results, which is, coincidentally, an example of the many different reasons for my general cynicism

Players now leaking to the press (The Times) that they’re exhausted and mentally fatigued.

Fuck the World Cup.

How did the club not see this coming and bring in any new faces.

You have drummed on and on about no transfers since the transfer window opened. Now your putting a link out proving players are now admitting to tiredness. We had 12 players at the WC 9 of them reaching the semis,

how many players should we of signed to cover this?

And once those tired players felt fresh what do we do with the 9 extra players?

We have a full 25 man squad, we also have 2-3 being paid that won’t be playing for us. We needed to sell 3-4 players, and never sold 1

It would be disappointing if players are moaning as using this as an excuse for not playing up to their full ability and or general sloppy play we have seen especially as the last couple of years have been built on great morale and team spirit which helped give us a leg up on wealthier opponent's in having a togetherness that money can't buy attitude.
It does seem that if reports are true then there is some disgruntled staff around the club even poch is getting more irrated and edgy with the line of questioning coming out with some strange reasons.

Oh I agree but the poster I quoted has done nothing but moan about the club since the ST prices come out, as good as moaning it’s the clubs fault the stadium has had delays, just moaning. Then the transfer window he moaned.

The ST prices are steep but every club that’s ever built a stadium has to pay for it, and with the increase in the amount of we should be able to pay it off, and increase our wage strategy and hopefully compete in the transfer market. That’s compete not pay way over the top.

As we discussed in another thread, I honestly think Levy should of appointed someone to deal with transfers, because he had too much going on with the stadium, and I bet Pochettino must of wished he had a DOF now.

Funny thing is with Moura performing I’m glad we never got Martial or Zaha, but I am gutted itwe never shifted 3-4 and made our CM better, though I know we were never in a position to cover the whole tiring WC players

The season ticket prices was always going to be expensive and increase as usual the consumer pays through the nose for it I expected that.
As for moura I think we needed more pace within the squad as if he gets injured we have nothing really to cover for him, I also thought he looked good the other night against Milan and caused them problemswith his direct running and if we could of finished properly the win would be ours be a decent margin.

It's almost like we don't have enough depth of quality in the squad.

Funny that.

With all 24 outfield fit for Brighton I’m struggling who I’m leaving out the squad. My bench is currently Gaza aurier sanchez winks dembele lamela llorente. I can’t get davies in and I’ve left dier out as he’s been shit and I’d rather have dembele and winks if we need to win the game. Even if we’d have bought 2 new players Pochettino would have had big headaches who to leave out squad. Well llorente would have been obvious but then your being really harsh on a few players.

I'm not disagreeing with you, the 1st post you quoted of mine was to someone else. I was just explaining my reasons about why I put him as a compulsive moaner.

the thing with buying cover for Moura especially with the players we were linked with would of meant way OTT in overload, and someone like Martial, being in the same boat with us instead of Utd, and no way would Zaha give up regular football for the bench

How did the club not see this coming and bring in any new faces.

I can't believe we didn't buy like-for-like cover for Kane, Alli, Dembele, Dier, Vertonghen, Trippier and Alderweireld. We should have bought somebody to cover Son as well because he was going to be away for the Asian Games.

It's almost as if there is a squad limit, a home grown quota, a human side to transfers and we didn't have £300m laying around. Unbelievable, how did the club not see this coming.
