So this way you could of had a season ticket for just this season and got a ticket, yet someone who's been going for years as a member but this year hasn't got to as many games, misses out?

I said in another thread how is it all of a sudden convenient for them to go to the United game if they couldn't attend the AFC Wimbledon, Rochdale or Newport games?

Could of gone to those and still not hit 47 for the season?

Would have had to have missed a fair few league games. I've missed 3 league games and West Ham in CC and still have 65 points.

Loyalty points are done over three seasons, and you get a bunch of loyalty points just for renewing your season ticket. Also, try telling someone who has forked out £hundreds this season after sitting on a waiting list for ages (as far as I’m aware almost every new st this season went to a multi seasoned member) that this doesn’t entitle them, especially with our prices. Yes, it sucks if you’ve gone loads on a membership, and I fall into neither camp anyway so have no biased, I’m just saying that the club can only please so many people.

Ye fair enough. I've got 67 I think. I'll probably give my ticket to my dad though.

It's a marginally less painful phasing this time (for our group) as I think everyone is either in phase 1 or 2, unlike the season ticket phasing.

I'm unsure that there is a "right" way to do this. Certainly when I've been the one buying the tickets for our group I didn't like the free for all, very happy to admit that.

But there is no way the club could do it so that everyone can sit with their mates is there?

I’m just glad they’ve finally announced it, was beginning to wonder if I’d imagine the Swansea win...

I've been to all the home league and CL games but not the FA cup games. I guess me just missing out is my punishment

Maybe you need to choose some of your games more carefully. As in more 5 point games and less 1 point glamorous games.

United fans will have had this problem for years. It comes with the territory for big clubs.

I think there were also loyalty points for season ticket holders who signed up to the gold scheme. That means you automatically buy a home ticket for a cup game. It could be this has made a big difference for some

Say what?

I've only missed the West Bromwich match (I think...) and I only have 67.

Just checked again, I have 64. Which would make sense if all 4 games I've missed were worth 1 LP. That would mean the maximum for a "new" STH would be 68.

That was always going to be the case though, it's exactly the same for away games. I'd argued before this season that they should have members and st holders on the same scheme to alleviate this and make it fairer for members who go to more games than some of the st holders but with the way the ticket office have been that was way too optimistic.

Are you certain? If so get in touch with them as it sounds like they've messed up your total (which seems very common!)

You should have:
Silver Membership: 25
1 point per home league game attended (or listed on the exhange) this season: 15
Champions League group stage package: 6
Juventus: 1
Total: 47

Only thing I can think of is if you bought the CL group stage games separately and the LPs were different, but I think they were just 2 points each anyway.

Only if you'd bought tickets for those matches, but not turned up for six of the 15 league matches nor bought CL tickets which would be... a little odd.

I was thinking of loyalty points as they used to be for members. Of course there's only 1 a match on the season ticket.

I did also miss the boxing day match, though. And West Ham in the league cup was 2 points, so the max would be 69 for first season STH.

I have got 76 points and am a new season ticket holder
