Can't see him going for £4m. At age 30 (31 in November), it is a good time for both him and the club to leave - but more likely for £5m/£6m basic and maybe a bit in add ons.

But with Dawson playing s much last season and our other cb's being injured for part of the season we need a replacement guaranteed to be fit all season, and quite possibly a 2nd cb for cover unless poch decides that Fryers and Veljkovic can fit the 5th cb role between them (good experience for both btw)

2 year ago he almost went for 9m to QPR. 4m seems about right, perhaps 5m with addons. Hope we have some good CBs lined up as he will be a big loss.

Going to have to start following Hull as my second team. Give them a few youngsters to blood and it'll be like Spurs B

Don't see that being truthful.

I'm not sure how long Dawson has on his contract but I suspect he wants to pretty much finish up at spurs.

God bless him really

For what he's done for us I hope he stays on - he's got heart and courage and plays like he cares. Everyone keeps hyping up Jan Vertoghen but he plays in a sulk. Plus he has made his share of mistakes.

Based on last season, keep Daws please

Regardless of how much we almost sold him to qpr for, length of his contract has a massive impact on the fee. If he only has a year left then 4m is probably as much as we'll get.

Unless we land some real quality central defender(s) Daws should stay. I'm not his biggest fan, but he is a decent squad player and seems to actually care a bit. It will be interesting to see how Poch sees the squad and what adjustments he will bring. In fact, I can't wait to get this silly WC charade overwith and get on with the real business ;)

Let him to go to Hull, he is from that part of the world, his brother played for them for over 10 years and I am sure he will enjoy the company of all the other ex Spurs players there as well. Dawson and Curtis Davies would make a very decent partnership and really at his age he wants to be playing ever week and if we are seriously looking at getting back into the top four, that isn't going to happen at Spurs.

I can't really see this happening as Dawson has been a reliable squad player. The only reason I can think of for this having any basis is if Poch wants to fill the squad with younger players

Great club man without a doubt, but he is not the player he was and its time to replace him.
According to most people he never was.
Salvaged the Danish for us last season. Wish him well.
Hope we can sign a better player with half his spirit and attitude.

What kind of idiot would lock tigers in football talks? It's just a recipe for disaster.

Dawson is past the Premiership though. Thank you for your help Michael.
