AVB may have lost 3-0 but that was at a different time and at least he had some idea how he wanted to set up the team. Tim is the worst manager to have ever managed in the premier league. Tim is a disgrace and cannot admit his own faults he has actually managed to make players worse.

It was one of those games where there red card has been decided as the catalyst, but I for one would have said even with 11 men we would lose from after watching the first 10 mins of the game. Terrible choice selection/tactics to play against West Ham. The red card is an easy scapegoat to use and we have used it too many times this year along with penalties against us, our performances have been dire.

If it wasn't for Hugo we would have lost 10 -0 . Unfortunately Tim got his selection wrong. Drop Gylfi, lennon and kane for this game. Strong midfield ffs. Thats why Tim is dim.

See though i don't take Sherwood seriously as a long term manager, i find it quite incredulous that anyone can determine the result of a football match after watching ten minutes?

The red card whether warranted or not was indeed the deciding factor of this game. For us to keep a clean sheet in the second half showed just how difficult it is to score against ten men, yet just a week ago Sherwood was being berated on here for not getting his team to score a hat-full against ten man Stoke.

A lot of people on here have the memory span of a Goldfish.

Did that post actually sound like it would make sense when it was in your head?

well for one. spurs are a lot better than stoke so why shouldn't fans expect us to score against 10 man stoke? spurs are also much better than west ham so you would expect it to be harder for west ham to score against 10 man spurs than spurs to score against 10 man stoke. the other thing i'd say is that although west ham didn't score in the 2nd half, they quite easily could have were it not for lloris. begovic on the otherhand had more or less nothing to do when stoke were down to 10.

To tell you the truth I hated Tim before he took the job, when he played for us I kept hearing second hand information from people who knew people who knew him and the things he apparently said about the club just made me think he was a c***t.

Tim has not proved that he can manage, in my eyes he has been very lucky and while being our manager defensively we have been absolutely awful. Tim's Spurs have relied on 2 or 3 players to have a good day, we may not have looked any better under AVB but at least he had some idea how he wanted the team to play however flawed it was. Tim is not qualified to manage and was too lazy to go get his badges, so if he really wanted to be a manager why didn't he.

If I was the chairman I would rather play villa with no manager than with Tim.

Well, that was an awful game to watch. Of course the red card affected the game, so it's difficult to assess what would have happened if it remained 11 v 11. Without Lloris, the score would have been an embarrassment (again!)......against West Ham, for gods sake, whose recent form has been very poor.

Still no shape to the team and still no protection for the back four (Jesus,Siggy and Paulinho as our two CM!). I'm still waiting for the game where we impose ourselves on the opponents, instead of vice versa. I'm still waiting for the game where if our one or two v good players don't have good games, that our system/tactics allow us to grind out results (a draw or, even better, a win). Instead, if Eriksen isn't hitting top notes, if Ade isn't scoring, we have no chance because we have no system.

Very poor. TS has had 5months now, 5mths to get his system onto the pitch. He hasn't; reason why? He has no system. It's pick 11 players and hope for the best, hope to out score the opponents. There's a reason why he has the highest loss percentage of our recent managers - because it's all or nothing. And if we don't get the goals, or Eriksen isn't hitting those wonderful free kicks, then we get nothing.

We've gone from one extreme (AVB=system is everything) to the other. We ne someone in the middle. Sooner we get that person in, the better.

The red card means we'll never know, however the first 25 minutes were hardly inspiring. Adebayor's tame shot aside, hoofs up to Carroll were causing problems and Dawson in particular was lucky to get away with a few things.

Don't let the red card become an excuse for what was shaping up to be a typical Spurs performance. Whether we would have won or not remains unknown, but too many players didn't look bothered. The 'wall' of Adebayor and Paulinho was dreadful and their puzzled look at each other was more Laurel and Hardy than two experienced internationals.

Can't wait for 5pm next Sunday.

@bigspurs you don't seem to have understood, please let me know your questions with my post and i'll explain it for you.

Like RButch says, the red card has been decided as the catalyst. Before that, it was poor, again.

Watching us lose a third consecutive game to a very ordinary Spammer side was a woeful experience, but there might be light at the end of the tunnel because:
1) losing the game will make it impossible for anyone to paper over the obvious cracks in our setup with what is seemingly a good league position. 2) we will almost definitely retain our place in the EL ahead of MU. Not thanks to TS, but to Sunderland's win at OT - Cheers and congrats, Gus.

Tim has done a decent job in terms of keeping us pretty much in the same league position as we were when he came in, and the conditions have been difficult for him. I don't believe he was ever intended as a long term solution, and during his five month spell at the helm it has been clear that he is nowhere near a good enough manager to take us forward.
Yesterday, our "tactics" were again incredibly naive and the attitude of some players unacceptable. However, had Ade put Eriksen's well-played assist in the back of the net at 0-0 Tim might have got away with it again and would be endlessly boasting about his points tally in his own version of "2 points for 8 games". Now he will not "send the fans home happy", but we are still in a decent position going into next season.

Hopefully the outcome of yesterday's embarrassment is that the board will speed up and wrap up the signing of a new manager (I really hope they haven't ruined our chances of getting De Boer, but fear they have).
WE REALLY need to get the right man in NOW. Fingers crossed for De Boer who, at least on paper seems the perfect match.

A lot of people on here have the memory span of a Goldfish.

I think most people can quite clearly remember how in the last two games we've played both against ten men and with ten men yet been comfortably second best on both occasions.
