While I don't think Sherwood is ready for first team management at a top club I really don't understand all this bitchy animosity towards him. He's honest, humourous, committed... I like Tim.

We'd have ploughman's lunches and a few pints in a nice country pub garden, maybe kick a ball around with the kids, pick some flowers for our wives then ride our bikes home for a nap. Oh England, how I miss you in the summertime.

So put your claws away, girls. Please. Enough.

You have missed the point I believe. His role is to manage players, win football matches and is entrusted with preserving the clubs future potenial.

His gob pissed his players off. Now weather you believe that the current state of football leaves us with soft players, the fact remains he lost a large proportion of the dressing room - or at least the seniors. Like it or not, that is modern football - something he got wrong.

Upward curve - what graph are you looking at? Cos if it's one showing our league finishing position increasing from 4th to 5th to 6th over the past 3 years, then upward curve is actually a bad thing!;)

The upward curve is the general history of Levys legacy. Look at our seasons before and after.

Certainly in terms of League position we've improved under Levy vs Sugar (see below), but our record for trophies under Sugar (2 in 11 years) beats Levy's (1 in 13 years).

Realistically, its only 5 in 10 years as IMO you cant include the caretakers like Clive Allen.

I don't think anyone is including Clive Allen or anyone else who had a game or two in charge. It is what it is.

Spurs managers under Levy

George Graham
Glenn Hoddle
David Pleat
Jacques Santini
Martin Jol
Juande Ramos
Harry Redknapp
Andre Villas-Boas
Tim Sherwood

Wasn't Pleat also a caretaker manager, at least the second time.
