Chelsea have trailed in games for just 171 minutes in the Barclays Premier League this season.

The obscene statistic demonstrates the dominance of Jose Mourinho's team this year, particularly given Arsenal are nearest behind them on 487 minutes.

Chelsea unsurprisingly have also led the most, having been ahead for 1,601 minutes, and need just one more win to be crowned champions for a fourth time in the Premier League era.

Three points against Crystal Palace on Sunday at Stamford Bridge will confirm the title, and continue their dominance in leading matches rather than trailing them.

Chelsea experienced both in Leicester on Wednesday night, when Mourinho was forced to select 37-year-old Didier Drogba as his main striker due to injuries to Diego Costa and Loic Remy.

The veteran, who won the Premier League a decade ago with Chelsea, cancelled out the home side's opener at the King Power, where Nigel Pearson's team only managed to lead for three minutes.

Leicester are down the table in terms of leading and trailing, but aren't quite bottom.

That unwanted title belongs to the unfortunate Burnley, who have trailed for 1,298 minutes and led for just 387, leaving the relegation-threatened club bottom of the Premier League.

Newcastle United are close, however, having trailed for 1,246 minutes as their season goes from bad to worse at St James' Park this year.
