£50m ok ish.

Aubameyang and pulisic are 4th and 3rd record signings involving German sides and are recent at 63m and 64m Euros. So maybe £55m sterling. Will put them up with those.

Only De Bruyne at 75m Euros with Man City Tax and Ousmane Dembeke at 115m euros including Barca Tax, are higher.

So 50-55m English pounds will get him

It'll be less because of his contract. 45 million maximum is my guess. RBL don't want to sell him in-league either, giving us (and other PL clubs) a better chance.

Who isn't a guaranteed starter either..
He is/was the succession planning for Alderweireld though tbf.

Which occurred after we sold Kyle Walker hence why I mentioned Eriksen.
We also spent £25m on Aurier to replace Walker.

I'm fed up of reading posts saying we skimp on transfer fees even though it is contrary to evidence. We have a long (mostly inglorious) record of spending large sums of money when we feel so inclined. The fees for Bent, Bentley, Modrić Lamela, Soldado, Son and Sissoko (to name a few) were all eyebrow raising at the time. The fact that the money was raised through sales doesn't change the fact that they were large fees. If there's a deal to be done in the £40m-£60m range then I'm confident we'll do it.

Eh, I don't agree with that.

We offered Alderweireld a contract extension months after we had signed Davinson. The plan was to have all of them and if anything Sanchez was going to be the Vertonghen replacement.

We don’t make snap signings. So I’d imagine we’ve been keeping tags for a while and have just accelerated any plans we have.

I’m confident we will too once we’ve raised said funds. Until I see evidence pointing otherwise I won’t change my opinion.
A lot of those you listed occurred after sales of big name players for good fees.

Hopefully Levy gets wrecked though and just chucks £50m at RB Leipzig as Werner would be a very nice signing.

Speaking of ITK, whatever happened to the twitter account who pretended he was Chirpy. Don’t think it’s there anymore. Got quite aggressive at times :X3:

I dont know what I enjoy more..the people who pull prices out of their arse and state them like they are fact or the people who say its never going to happen to every player were linked with.

None of us know the price...he could be 70 mill or 45 mill...and none of us know how likely the transfer actually is.

Lets just hope the stars align on this one.

It’s from the Express. They get 0% of transfer stories correct.
The OP plucked a news story from last week to circumvent the rules so that people could chuck Werner into made up starting XIs and argue over Levy being tight without the threat of being heavy handed by the SC mods mob.

Good effort tbf

The people who say it’s never going to happen to every player linked have been correct for 12 months now, pretty impressive. I’m on their team until we sign again.

Come on, we're never going to sign £62m Werner :sneaky:

We've had ITK on the player to be fair.
