I'm pretty sure that he won't sign a new deal at Leipzig... he will go, and I think he would be open to leaving germany (klopp could be a factor for liverpool imo)

But that is just my opinion, from following him and his career in german media so far

Tbh at this stage, JJ refusing to fully scotch rumours has to be taken in a positive light. Clearly dialogue is open between the clubs, and Werner is a player that has been on our ‘lists’ for a good few years. He’s the type of player that we are aware of and covet, waiting to see if an opportunity arises. Son was such a player. We tracked him for a good few years, then when an opportunity presented itself, we acted quickly.

Whether or not that actually leads to anything happening here, is a different issue altogether of course, but Levy must be sensing the need to act to a degree Id think

For anyone interested watching a player we probably won't be signing, RB play BVB on Saturday at 17.30. should be an excellent game and a good chance to scout our CL opposition for those who haven't seen much "bungabunga league" as my girlfriend likes to call it.

You'd hope the fact that we've been interested in him for years might be a positive.

Would work beautifully in tandem with Kane when we play the diamond giving us - Kane, Son & Werner fighting for those two spots.

Makes perfect sense. So won’t happen.

"We never look at good players, top players who could improve the squad, I'm so frustrated, ffs buy someone good"

Spurs look at player of said ilk

"Don't do it to yourself, we never buy players like this, we'll probably end up with Andy Booth, ffs Spurs"

Have to think RB would rather sell him outside of the league, right?

Probably but it depends if he wants to come to us or not. If it's a choice between sitting on our bench waiting for Kane to get injured or starting every week for Bayern and winning titles then he might not be interested in joining us unless we're making him a big-money offer he can't turn down, which is unlikely

This would be a great signing. Can't really see it happening, but makes sense.

Still think I'd rather we focus on a CM though.

Knowing Levy, he'll be waiting for Korea to get dumped out of the Asia Cup. If that doesn't happen straight away he'll move to plan B which is 'it's only a couple more matches til we get Son back. We can handle that'.

I'd say we desperately need both. Wanyama looks finished, Dembele is off, Sissoko is injured and even if he comes back quick we will have to manage that, dier will need to be nursed through and winks himself has had too many injuries to be wreckless with him.

The forward line at the moment is Llorente at least till end of Jan and even then Son will be tired.

Levy certainly won’t be that stupid. He’s risking our season to be fair. I mean he hasn’t signed anyone all summer and we are doing better than expect but right now injuries are hitting are already thin squad he must act now

its more likely Poch is happy with the squad... and we all know at end of the window, that's exactly what he'll say

He took exactly the same risk in the summer with knackered players coming back from the World Cup.

I'm not as convinced as most of you that we need to do something upfront, but if Llorente is likely to leave either now or in the summer, then we will need a ST at some point.

CM we have real issues.

We can make the Kane situation work I think.

agree, rather play lamella upfront before we throw away good money on more forwards when our CM is championship quality

wanyama and dembele are finished, dier is steady but has never really been a properCM. really just leaves mousa sissoultrain and harry winkerbell .
not enough, I'd spend every penny we have on midfield
