Honestly I wouldn't be too disappointed if we miss out on him, watched a lot of him and don't think he is nearly as good as the name value he has developed. Particularly up top by himself I don't rate him at all and he has been atrocious for Germany in that role in the 4-2-3-1, but I could see him being a Son backup with some time on the wing. Wouldn't pay more than 30m for him personally, but we'll see. Desperate times.

£30m doesn't even buy you Jack Grealish in today's market.

If we're looking to pre-spend the Eriksen money I suppose we'd look at a line up like this:

--------Kane
Son - Dele - Werner

I have concerns over the creativity of that group but looks good on paper.

That front 4 would be lethal but you’re right about the creativity, would need a CM who is substantially better at passing than anyone we have right now, particularly if we lose Toby and his ability to transition the ball.

Yep, thats a group that can score a hell of a lot of goals but need someone to help put them on a platter for them. If we can upgrade central midfield & fullbacks with speed to widen the field you can make it work.

If you look at Liverpool, Salah, Firmino and Mane aren’t necessarily that creative either. Not in the mould of Eriksen anyway and they have no problem scoring goals.

Replacing Eriksen is gonna be next to impossible. It will be interesting to see how we attempt to do that and how Poch approaches it. A switch in our style of play with more importance on wing backs could be adopted etc.

Its hard to argue with how they've played this season, but I have seen their fans comment on how they miss Coutinho and can struggle to break teams down at times.

Can see this happening, we will only sign players whose contract is running out or with release clauses but he will have other suitors.

I agree, enough movement and we'll create the space for an easy pass.

I think this is because most people only watched him in the world cup. He was not playing very well, but so did the whole germen team

Yeah quite.

He's 22 and has a goal every 1.75 games for Leipzig over a three-season period in all competitions.

Won golden boot at the FIFA Confederations Cup. Played in a World Cup, played in Champions League (scored 3 in 6 games) and Europa League (scored 4 in 5). Capped at every level for Germany, scoring a goal every 1.4 games across all levels up to U21.

Not much not to like. He'll go for way more than we'll pay, I'm sure

Just because he's previously said that he'd fancy coming to the Premier League and we've been so let down lately with shit windows and no new stadium etc. I'd say it's time for his Baldness to step up and give us a marquee German signing.

If you can't get us someone decent in the middle of the park, a new Teddy and Jurgen partnership with Harry would be just fine by me. Resale value, expiring contract and potential profit, Daniel will be all over this tbf.

20% Optimistic.

Poch's press conference was interesting, I think people will take it as nobody is coming in but the way Poch worded it made me believe that regardless of Kane we have a target in mind and whether that's Werner and whether that will come to fruition in Jan or summer is up for debate.

Every club cant sign every player.
Lots of teams with bigger pockets than us is the issue.

PSG, Juve, AC Milan, Real Madrid, Atletico, Barcelona, Chelsea, ManU, Arsenal, Liverpool, Man City & Bayern. Thats 12 teams who if they want a player can flash more cash in the snap of a finger than we can.

Thats without mentioning Dortmund, Napoli, Roma, Inter Milan, who seem to be more aggressive than us in the market as well.
