Of course he doesn’t say what’s in the headline. It’s just another variant on “go away, journalist”. All he’s saying is that, unless there is concrete interest in a transfer, he’s going to try not to think about and he doesn’t want to discuss it.

Of course he doesn’t want to go Manure. He wants to play CL football with his compatriot Jan. Makes perfect sense!

£25M in today's market is almost as good as free in today's market. And by the end of the coming season, he will be a year older. I'd say he's taking a risk if he's banking on going on a free.

I reckon the problems have quietly been sorted out. He doesn't seem like a man desperate to leave. He plays most games and plays like he means it. There's very little smoke anymore in terms of clubs in for him.
The big one last year, Man United is laughable now. The only reason to go there is money now. They're an utter shambles.

I’m sure Toby would rather the £25M be in his own pocket.

Not a bad place to be for another year, good enough money and high profile in CL with a free and easy signingi on fee for consideration.

I couldn't blame him. It's the way of the world.

A) obvious answer if he wants to retain any loyalty bonuses.
B) if he leaves next year on a free, there shouldn't be any hard feelings. Both sides signed a contract and both will have honoured it.

25m is nothing in terms of transfer funds but it's still a sizable chunk towards wages or cashflow. I'd prefer him to stay another year by which time Foyth and Sanchez will have had plenty more time.
