Just want to say this a great loan for him - if he plays regularly. Competing in a Championship promotion race with a club expected to go straight back up is a terrific experience, having to pick up points each week, the pressure of not losing.

Fairly anonymous today from what I can gather. I think QPR had only 1 or 2 shots on target.

Match Stats: 85% Pass Completion (60 attempted passes), 1 Chance Created, 1 Shot, 4 Tackles and 1 Interception. Stats only tell part of the story, but it looks like a decent debut.

Qpr fans think he was poor today.

Harry seems to think he's like carrick though.

I agree he needs a 4-5-1with some grafters around him.

He struggled but will get better and needs to start learning his way and that's why this is such a good loan for both clubs as you never get this chance in the premiership. He would get a few crappy UEFA games then sit in the u21 or just training. Harry wants to develop him.

Please don't tell me he played CM in a 442?

You better believe it. Harry'd.

Whilst I agree it's not his best role, Redknapp's job is to win the Championship for QPR, not build a team around Tom Carroll. He wanted Carroll as part of his side and Carroll will need to adapt, I think it's perfect for him to be playing in a 442, he'll need to learn different facets of his game.

I agree. It's all well and good coming into a side sitting infront of Capoue/Sandro/Paulinho but in a midfield two its a different game altogether. It was the making of Modric in terms of his off the ball responsibility, so hopefully Carroll can learn.

There's a green tick you **** for agreeing. You don't have to write War & Peace everytime. Prick.

New formation, new environment. They won, so probably satisfactory.

Noticed that JJ replaced him as sub.....;)

QPR fans reckon Redknapp will try to bring in Harry Kane as a replacement for the injured Andy Johnson. Bobby Zamora has also been turd apparently. Could see Kane forming a good partnership with Charlie Austin.
