He's 8cm taller than Messi and 4kg heavier. He's just a mere 3cm taller than Modric and 1kg heavier. Size and weight have little to do with holding Tom Carroll back. He's just not good enough unfortunately.

That maybe the case, but Carroll carries no physical presence what so ever. Granted he has a tidy left foot, but the power, pace and physicality of PL is too intense for him.. Kante obviously has the mental and physical attributes to flourish.
