There's two kinds of bravery in football - there's the kind where you get stuck in and don't shy away from physical challenges, and the less appreciated bravery, which is looking to get on the ball when marked, and play difficult passes. Winks has both and Carroll has shown little of either.

Disagree he may not have the physical side to his game but he can certainly spot a pass and create chances

Won't be a loss considering how limited his opportunities are. He has four career CMs ahead of him in Dembele, Wanyama, Winks and Dier. He also has two career AMs in front of him in Ericksen and Alli, which is more than easy to adjust to when our other AMs are Son, Sissoko, Lamela and Nkoudou. Neat little player but way down the pecking order for the sake of his career. Might even free up a slot for us to sign someone more likely to play regularly (or push through a youngster).

Can't say I'd be displeased if he goes but wish him the best and will be interested to see how he plays in his new team if he moves.

Think it may have been different if I'd only seen him play once, I might have thought that he showed some promise but for me personally he hasn't looked very different from the first time I saw him play for us to the most recent. Think it would do him the world of good to move to a team who may actually rely on him to keep the ball moving in the midfield.

Carroll has been one of my favorites from his academy days. I'll be sad to see him go, but genuinely want to see him succeed and he won't do that to his fullest here failing to make the matchday squad. Not everyone is going to make it at the top level. There is no shame in being a good championship player, and I think that is probably his level. I think he'll have a decent career. And if there is anyway to the top level for him, he won't get there without some serious time on the pitch in meaningful games. Moving to Swans may not be terrible for him. I fully expect them to be in the championship next season, and he can probably become a regular starter then. The rest of the season will not be pleasant though.

Good luck Tommy, I will always remember that time you passed to Bale in the 90th minute away to the Spammers.

What a night that was.

I'll be replaying that goal in my head on my death bed, I swear it, and I'll pass grinning ear to ear. Everything about that goal, win, and team reaction was just something right out of a dream. Indeed, I will always thank Tommy boy for contributing to it.

Wonder if they can get him in to the squad tomorrow or has the deadline passed?

Tom Carroll will have a medical at Swansea ahead of £4.5m switch rom Tottenham, according to Sky sources.

Even Levy cannot make him a 8m player... Anyway, his assist to Bale will always in my heart
