Didn't we get some money for Azzaoui too? I guess he was an academy player, kind of...

That's mental. When you factor in Danny Rose, Kane, Winks, Onomah, Carter-Vickers, Walker-Peters,and Edwards, our youth system has produced well over £100m of talent.

Kane alone must be upwards of £60-70 million by now, no? He's on course to be PL top scorer twice in a row or at least a +20 goal a season striker 3 times in a row.

Danny Rose you wouldn't see going for less than £25m especially if the likes of Citeh and ManU are interested. Winks is currently demonstrating he has what it takes to cut it as a fine PL central midfielder and who knows how far Edwards and co can go?

The investment in youth and the ability to reinvest what it has earned us has underpinned our gradual progression from perennial mid-tablers to genuine contenders.

Gotta credit the Levster for having the foresight and patience to see this all through.

On topic, I always enjoyed watching Carroll despite what the detractors said. He is a skilful and tidy player with an eye for goal. Just wasn't going to get any game time with us and we had significantly stronger players coming through.

Good luck at Swansea Tom, hope you can help keep them up.

I wouldn't sell Danny Rose for £50m. No use having the money if there's no player you can replace him with.

Not the forum for it I know... but your numbers are way off and you're seriously undervaluing him, if you think anything even remotely close to £25m suggests his market value

Thanks. I was being cautious with the estimations of market value but that only emphasises the point I was making.

I actually agree with @crokey in that I wouldn't sell Danny Rose for £50million and I wouldn't want to sell Kane, even for £100 mill. Only if they were determined to leave a la Bale, would there be any reason to sell.

A big bank balance doesn't win you the league. Having the patience to bring through genuine quality across the whole squad might just though. Levy never wanted to sell Modric, Bale, Berbatov etc, but players do hold the cards and if you have to sell, make sure you screw every penny out of it.
