..thinks Arsenal shouldn’t buy Vermaelen

It seems to be too late for Tony Adams to be advising Arsene Wenger on who he should be buying for the Arsenal team, but he has decided to make his opinion known about the expected signing of the Ajax defender Thomas Vermaelen.

Basically he believes that Wenger is making a mistake in paying a reported £10m for Vermaelen.

He told the Daily Mirror: “Thomas is a very good player but I don’t think he’s ready for the Arsenal.

“I don’t think the punters at Arsenal would like another small one.

“I have been looking at the Dutch league, but it’s been decimated. It’s a poor league at the moment, there’s one or two players, but they’re leaving too early as well.”

I’m not sure if Wenger would be keen to hear his views but Adams seems very keen on getting his opinions in the papers lately.

Tony Adams, I'm really happy that you have a succesful managerial career :)whistle:) and I'mma let you finish, but Thomas Vermaelen was voted best EPL player in his first month and has scored 6 goals in his first 11 games!

Great goal against Blackburn a few minutes ago..
