Will Grigg is 1001/1 to be player of the tourny. I am tempted, after all, he is on fire

I was tempted to go for Kane, but I have a feeling he'll get taken off in games where we are defending a lead so that Roy can play on the counter and hoof it up to Vardy. Plus we've got so many strikers that Hodgson will probably rotate in the final group game if we're already through.

Fingers crossed for him though. I'd love to see him as top scorer.

If you keep looking at it put a couple of pounds on it.

I've just put £1 each way on Dele Alli :nailbiting:, 100-1. The way his seasons gone....

Took 27/1 on Kane to score 4+ goals in the group stage a while ago, WH had an offer at 27 days to go. Thought that was too good to turn down considering he should score in each game and just hope he can bag two or three in one

I have Muller, Giroud, De Bruyne and Janko all E/W.

Was going to go for Kane until that last friendly and then lost all confidence in England.

Good start. Forgot I had a couple of quid on Payet as well E/W at 66/1 :)

So what shall I use my £5 free bet on? England to beat Russia? The odds are rubbish, 19/20. I assume you don't get the £5 stake returned if you win the bet? Just the winnings?

Also had a couple of quid on Giroud to score the first goal tonight, so not a bad start to the tournament.

You never get the stake back from a free bet.

France winning has given me a free bet too ( only £3 though). Probably going to chuck it on a match accumulator or first goal scorer tommorow night.

I've just put mine on Kane scoring the first goal tonight.

Harry Kane surely?

He needs better service than he got last night if he's going to have a chance. Taking corners isn't going to help either. Alli looked the most threatening English player last night.

Lots of bookies offering £5 free bet every time your top scorer choice scores (if you bet between £20/25)

Do you know of you get five pounds per goal scored, or is it five for every game they score in? I've only got £5 in my account today.

I think that depends on the bookie, some were each goal scored (up to £20 a game) some were per game.

Minor point but Bale was one of the best players in the tournament

Not necessarily 'top scorer' but I'm interested to find out why @BorisLloris , @Hengy1 , @C-oops and @Sweech disagree with what I've said. Bale scored in all of Wales's Group Stage matches, and his fantastic cross caused the OG in the Round of 16. His pass was also vital in one of Wales's goals in the QF (can't remember if it was the 2nd or 3rd goal). Furthermore, his work-rate for the team was fantastic and this contributed to Wales being in the SF despite there being many better teams in the tournament.

I expect Griezmann will win Player of the Tournament, but I think Payet and Bale are the only other players that could be viable suggestions for that award.

Remarkable that Griezmann is so high up for all-time Euro goalscorers already. He will easily break the record
