Most unlikely to happen. Chelsea certainly wouldnt flog him him to us, and to be honest even if they were willing, I cant see us being able to afford him. A move abroad is more likely.

However, if fairy tales did come true and Harry could his work his fabled magic, yeah Id be happy to have the Torres of old at the Lane.

hes been really bad.....however you can't be that awesome too that crap in such a short period of time.....
Something is not right for him and hasn't beenn for a while .....homesick maybe,i don't know. But i do know he was world class before he went too liverpool and was for a while at liverpool .....so if he could get back too that form .....i'd have him ahead of anyone else.
Harry is a kind of manager that could get that out of him i believe .....
However never going too happen because of the fee needed and wages.....
And only way it might happen was for a swap deal with modders .....

Good point about the swap deal, would Spurs fans be happy to see Modric with that lot if we got the good Torres in return? For me personally it'd rub against the grain but Modric's performances have been shite for a while now and its clear he aint really happy either so it could be a win win. Maybe we should say to chelsea, torres and £15m
for Modric. Again, just opening this for discussion.

Not going to happen. They will want back a large chunk of what they invested. Also I'd image his wages would be put of our reach.

The only way would be a loan deal similar to the Ade one.

If we have learned anything since letting Berbatov go the answer has to be yes please - if he is over his injuries .

Might save us spending just as much on a series of stop-gaps .

Torres would fit perfectly into our team. He'd thrive on the quality of VDV. He'd also get on the end of crosses from Bale and Lennon for fun. He doesnt fit in at chelsea because they play a slow build up and he generally gets the ball with his back to goal. We attack at pace and torres is dam quick himself.

Player swaps dont generally happen much but if they did Id swap Modric with him tomorrow.
Midfield of Bale, Lennon, Sandro and Parker with VDV and Torres up front.

I have spoken to a lot of Manchester united fans who say that he would fit into United

Chelsea do not play to Torres's strengths

He will want to go back to Spain. If we could get him then it would be amazing. On form one of the elite strikers out there. Won EVERYTHING now except the prem.

He's on 200k a week. This is a deal that simply could never happen.

Well - the question is do Chelsea continue to pay 200K a week or let him move. Unfortunately Abramovich has pockets deep enough not to care...

Chelsea have him under contract so they don't have a choice.

Torres does and I can;t believe he'd agree to sign for a club on a third of his current wage or Chelsea would help supplement him.

If we could get a deal done for a low price I'd be delighted. He would be our perfect striker.

However, we can't afford it, he wouldn't want to come and Modric would have to go the other way. No thanks.

I think he would definitely accept a lot less than 200k wages but he isn't coming to us that is for sure.
