Boy, hate to sound negative...but is this guy any better than what Spurs' either have already, or gotten rid of?

He's young and seemingly highly rated, though whether we could put him in right away I'm not sure. We've already got some midfielders who aren't league winners yet but could be one day. If McCarthy is available he's the safer option.
