Don't know if it's 'the best' but it is quite good. If anyone saw the Saints game last week, when they brought on an academy product, it was like a jizz-fest for the commentator. Yet our academy products barely get a mention in the press or by commentators.

“I think the fans love a good player and Ade is a fantastic player,” said Pochettino. “In football, the mood changes quickly. When you have lost you are upset, our fans are upset, the players are upset and I was upset. After I think we have only one objective and that is to take Tottenham as high as possible. I think this is in the past. I think we forget this situation.

“I have full respect for Ade because he’s a great player, a great talent but now I need to stay with him and give him the space. It’s not a nice moment for him and my job is to help him too.

What is this about i wonder?

He had malaria. He went back to Africa because a family member was ill. He allegedly had a bust up with Kane etc... and also his mother is casting voodoo spells on him.

Pretty much normal for Ade.

"The striker has since been forced to make a trip to Ghana after a close relative fell ill and Pochettino hopes the Spurs fans will forgive him."

Unfortunately it doesn't fit in with the media image of 'big spending and wasteful Spurs'. The fact that we have the lowest net spend (and are actually in profit') of all PL clubs including Burnley etc over the last 5 years gets conveniently forgotten about. However, it only takes one of those twats in Fleet Street to wake up and write a good article for the wind to turn direction and them all start getting the Kleenex out.
