'The contrasting details however do throw up a highly relevant debate about what is going to happen next with these two clubs, as they meet at Wembley this weekend, in their simultaneous attempts under similarly charismatic managers to try and undercut the bigger resources of the rest of the big six.'

I'm off to buy a coffee so I can spit out my coffee in disbelief.

I'm more interested in the game itself right now. I was always comparing our club to Liverpools over the 80's, 90's and 00's, because they were mostly better than us then. Since we've been better than them (in 8 of the last 9 seasons) I've not been thinking about them as much.

In the last 2/3 seasons I've felt that they've played better than us in most of our meetings. We've gotten some results but not been able to dominate them like we have all the other teams. But now with our team continuing to mature, I think we'll go with a more defensive approach on Sunday, for the first time ever, and it may pay dividends.

Klopps Liverpool are not a team you can just attack at will with. We have to adjust to nullify their attack and then hit them on the break. A Mourinho type tactic but not as negative. My only concern is that they had a stroll midweek while our injury hit squad played they're hearts out.
