Yes, but it's on odd name to use for the away shirts, considering the speculation that Nike and Tottenham will both be very aware of.

It's not about home and away - it's about the quality of the shirts. The stadium shirts are the official replicas, just with a different name, per Nike's naming convention.

Elite = sprayed on, made of unicorn tears by a nubile French seamstress.

Stadium = pre-stretched, made of recycled offcuts of something that moved a bit funny at the back of the warehouse and was promptly shot 50 times and then pre-washed on the wrong setting to save your dopey other half doing it.

Pretty simple to remember ;)

A friend of mine works for Spurs in the relevant department - when asked why Chelsea's kit deal is double that of Spurs' he said it's a sliding scale. We start at £30m/yr and if we do well it goes up very quickly. Chelsea's starts at £60m/yr and if they do badly it goes down very quickly. Chelsea are seen as the bigger club, hence the disparity.

Why is it a problem? I havent seen anyone say anything about the kit deals. Everyone knows that Chelsea are the far bigger club right now. Delusional to think we'll get as much as them.

I was with a football marketing person a few weeks back and they said the fascination on these kit deal sizes is almost laughable as every deal is not comparing apples with apples. They then said the Man Utd Adidas deal whilst headlines as the biggest of all time actually includes clauses where Adidas get 90-95% of kit sales globally as part of the deal. So Spurs might have a lower figure on the deal but keep more from the sales. Man Utd effectively pre sold their future sales of Jerseys. Also in the same conversation was told Adidas were instrumental in pushing through and financing the Pogba deal as they are gambling the two brands (man u and Pogba) combined will increase short sales globally. You have to think with the emerging stars we have we will become a good bet commercially.

I had a feeling a similar thing was happening with Rooney at Utd last season too. Something perhaps in his Nike contract saying he had to play a certain number of games for Utd/England

Adidas did the same thing with Bale and Madrid
