Didn’t we kinda burn our bridges with Lyon over the Lloris transfer? I vaguely remember their president not being best pleased with Levy

It's Levy's MO. It's all very well screwing every last drop out of a deal and then some more but it's a fact of life that you often have to deal with those people again at some point. We seem to get on OK with Ajax but I can't think of anyone else who's keen to get into negotiations with Baldy. I don't think we have a cat in hell's chance of getting N'Dombele now, regardless of what Lyon think of us.

Really can't see us getting this fella especially now he looks great and will be priced out of any potential move to us but certainly would welcome him.

Only about 5 months too late. We needed him this summer to replace Dembele.

But we couldn't afford him the spiralling stadium costs have not helped pochs cause.
And we won't be able to afford him next summer either when he's twice the price.

At some point we have to actually front up to strengthen our first team.

If we actually want to really challenge for the title, then we need to start spending more, or at least better.
