Levy's preference for late signings may have backfire as far as a right-back is concerned. With Trippier's injury and Poch's public statement that KWP is not ready, selling clubs will undoubtedly jack up their asking price. The only solution (temporary) is to put Dier there, or Toby (who often plays right-back for Belgium) and place Dier at centre-back. No matter which way you look at it, we need another right back for this season.

Fine, but who replaces Dier? He covers 3 positions at different times during the season, so it could be said if goes to fullback, who covers his 3 positions? It does look as if we need another fullback.

I didn't get to watch the game - or see the highlights for that matter - but this win feels very reminiscent of when we had a little old Juande Ramos in charge and we played Roma as our last game of Pre-Season and we absolutely mullered them...

Of course this time around we have a settled team and a manager that is a thousand times better - but I am in the camp where I'm struggling to see us do well without adding some serious strength in depth!
