The question is irrelevant because the stadium does not even have a construction start date and the club have not put a single contract out to tender.

I think we need to keep in mind that fans you have no right to any informations about the commercial dealings of the club. The information fans do receive from official sources and is a courtesy, the club is under no obligation whatsoever.

Archway have six weeks from the decision date to appeal the CPO, which they probably will.

We may have 'no right' to be informed of what goes on behind the scenes at the club regarding the NDP but it would be rather nice of the club to let us know, seeing as it's poor mugs us who keep the club running on a day to day basis, and in cases such as my own, have been doing so for over 50 years.

You can't tell me it's beyond the wit and wisdom of the club to issue a few public statements to those of us out here who merely wait with bated breaths for the slightest bit of news of any new developments, or just updates as to what's going on (if anything at all).

Silence from the club just breeds press speculation and whispering tongues amongst the wider footballing community, and although the club might say it doesn't give a hoot about speculation, we fans certainly do because it affects all of us.

It would be nice, that's all. I'm not saying we should be having a series of Q+A sessions every month, or anything so taxing or tedious, but it would be nice to be kept informed in some way, that's that, and frankly, I don't think that's asking too much.

The supporters trust confirmed that last season we invited potential sponsors to WHL for a tour and to watch a match. The match was against Liverpool.

These are complicated negotiations the sponsor may not have been agreed yet. What should Tottenham say? That we are currently working on the financing of the stadium?? That's what they have been. As soon as we get a sponsor they will announce it (unless it is joint for kit as well then we will have to wait till AIA expires as that would be disrespectful). Sorry you're just going to have to wait.

We don't have much choice but wait.

I was unaware of the invitation to prospective sponsors last season (let's just hope their offers of sponsorship packages wouldn't have been reliant on the team's performance or the result, because if so, we're stymied).

Of course they are complicated negotiations, if they were simple, we'd have had the stadium built many years ago, but I just wish the club could treat the fanbase with a little more respect by letting us know what's happening, even via the THST, and if nothing's happening then we'd like to know that too, because if that's the case, questions should be asked as to why.

I'm not asking much, just for closer relations with the club. When they're selling something, they're all over us by emails and Lord knows what else. When we want something back, we often get tumbleweeds. This entire process is taking an interminably long time and with every season which passes us by, our closest rivals are consolidating and cementing ever deeper and stronger foundations on a number of levels.

I'm not saying 'WE HAVE ARIGHT TO KNOW' that would be far too pompous, but just a few updates from time to time would be great.

It's not beyond the wit and wisdom but it is not in the best interests of the club to release information that your average fan and journalist are not intelligent enough to understand.

I'll put it another way... If the club announces that AEG, AIA or whoever are going to enter into a huge (north of £100,000,000) naming rights deal for the new stadium now, then a lot of fans will expect that all the money will be invested into the playing squad, agents will expect higher salaries and other clubs will demand higher transfer fees.
They will all be massively disappointed when they realise that the money is going to be spent on minimising the impact that the new stadium has on the day to day running of the football club and will give the club unnecessary stick and aggravation from the deluded and naive elements of our fan base that can easily be avoided by only releasing the information when it is in the clubs best interest to do so.

So what happens when we do actually manage to secure a massive naming rights deal? Presumably, the club are going to go public with it.

I have no doubt that there is (sadly) an element of the club's fan-base who would struggle to get the gist of such an announcement, but that would hardly be an excuse to withhold it.

I suggest if the club are going to announce anything at all, they at least take the time and trouble to explain it properly, (in noddy language if necessary) for the masses who matter most (and the journalists).

So you suggest that the club spend finite resources on getting Mishcon de Reya (our Law Firm), NM Rothschild (our investment bank) and a PR firm to produce a media briefing that details how the deal will be structured, how the money will be used and when we will be repaying the debts from the stadium, all in a language that even the hairiest palmed fan can understand?

Don't hold your breath.

The club will announce it when it is in the club's commercial interest to do so or failing that, the least detrimental moment. You need to remember that there is absolutely no alignment between your interests and the commercial interests of the club.

If I was advising the club, it would be announced in the February before we move in to the new ground and at least a week after the transfer window has closed.

Believe me, by now, we are all very well aware that the club is not going to share any of it's secrets with the likes of us.

You say there is no alignment, but if the fans refuse to accept whatever deal is agreed, and don't buy enough season tickets inside the new stadium, or enough shirts from the shop, you'll find as if by magic, the club will want to enter into discussions with the THST and all sorts of people to find out why, and probably spend millions via PR company in the process.

I'm sure you'll agree that we as fans (not as accountants, business consultants or potential investors) always feel marginalised by the lack of information which gets released. That's just the way it is and I guess that's never going to change.

Of all the home games available to entertain potential sponsors, we choose the one where we get spanked 5-0. Typical.

Prezackly. The atmosphere around WHL that day was one of anger, hatred, murder and embarrassment. Great timing :(

Sorry but I had to smile at the headline. Here we are nearly three and a half years down the road and still nothing definite apart from the fact that we are going to get our new stadium in another three and a half years time.

I just hope and pray we have nothing to do with the Qatari's.
You wait, they'll be hosting the World Cup Final there because the Qatari's didn't build any of the stadiums they had promised

...but empty seats could possibly mean lower ticket prices for the fans. I fully expect us to struggle to fill the new stadium, which will hopefully mean an opportunity for cheap prices for kids etc.

For league cup and europa league (maybe a couple of premiership games). I think they'll drop the price for some tickets. Just as Arsenal does.
