Would have been the full 100 million had they not halted the season after 36 matches.

Actually you're factually incorrect. Winning those last matches and finishing second would not have increased our merit payments enough to break past the £100m mark.

Saying that, I'm looking forward to more posts from people along the lines of "Who cares: we finished below Arsenal....again!", etc.

I think that's enough for them to pay for all of us to get monumentally twatted and pretend the last few weeks didn't happen.

Plenty of money to buy some new dummies for all our fans that have thrown theirs out of the pram lately.

Being shown live accounts for a major portion of income. So how come Spurs were only shown 21 times vs 26 times for Manchester United - even though the latter were not in contention, and played boring, sterile football?

Global recognition, mate. It doesn't matter where United were in the table, or what brand of football they dished up.

Football is now a money driven game, so it makes sense that Sky & BT etc will show the biggest teams/clubs, because they will get bigger viewing figures, which means the sponsors of those bigger clubs will maximise their financial outlay, whilst Sky can charge top dollar for adverts during half time etc.

Despite what our hearts tell us, we are not as big as Man Utd.
