If I were the lad's agent then I would be merrily leaking this type of story to the press... it simultaneously puts pressure on Liverpool to up their contract offer at the same time as sounding out if there are good options elsewhere at other clubs

Signed v Agreed
Two different things... Nothing in the article says he has signed on the dotted line, and there's nothing anywhere else to suggest that.
The only thing it mentions is that he as agreed a deal. Still leaves him open to looking at options elsewhere.
That sounds like a move straight out of the Alderweireld family negotiating handbook. That will surely endear him to Daniel Levy! :):)

“The Reds were so angry they cancelled a friendly with the German club, and were also ready to make a formal complaint. And with Dortmund and Leipzig also circling, the club were keen to sign their rising star on a long term contract.”

Karma. I’d sign him just for the RAWK meltdown.
