Seems walker is on his way out. I'm really not too sad about it. We still have a classy back line and I'm sure we'll cope without him.

Yes I meant the big clubs who will move heaven and earth plus pay huge wages and fees to get him, of which none of that applies to us.
So why don't Man City want him rather than Walker? Perhaps he is not rated so highly after all.

You mean like the times we signed the brilliant Lloris, Vertonghen, Alderweireld, Dembele, Modric, Bale, Berbatov etc etc?

Just because a player is highly rated doesn't mean all of the elite clubs are going to be lining up to throw massive money at them.

I will rephrase that I mean most of the time and if the big clubs pass up or miss one then we are in a good position to steal.

I'd sooner keep Walker but if he's determined to go then let's get the best replacement we can as soon as possible.

None of the 'big' clubs went after our Toby. He turned out alright. (In fact, he was quality when we bought him). Some clubs just want big names with big fees, makes them feel like a big club..... Walker being the exception of course!
