Argentina striker Diego Milito was among the players Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp looked at during Genoa's victory over Udinese at the weekend.

Milito, who has previously been linked with Spurs, was on the scoresheet at Stadio Luigi Ferraris in the 2-0 win that took Genoa to fourth in Serie A, with centre-back Domenico Criscito also impressing.

Redknapp travelled to Italy the day after Spurs' victory over Chelsea and has suggested he will continue to build his squad at White Hart Lane after signing five players during the January transfer window.

Jermain Defoe, one of Redknapp's arrivals, has had his protective boot taken off his injured foot and could be back in April.

That means the striker could play a part in Spurs' push for European qualification through their Barclays Premier League finish.

They are three points behind seventh-placed Wigan, with their recent results helped by the form of goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes, who has bounced back after a series of high-profile blunders at the start of the season.

    Could be a good signing.

Those statistics are very good will mid range teams too. But we already have keane, defoe, pavy and bent, i can only assume one will leave to make way for Milito if we do want him? I think we should try for queresma too. looked decent for chelsea when he came on, only person who looked like we could set up a goal for them! COYS

Dunno, I'd prefer us to make a run at an unhappy Klaas-Jan Huntelaar first and if we can't make that happen then take a look at Milito.

I like Queresma a lot, he can play on the right or left winger. I think he normally a left winger and he uses both legs.

i would take downing over quaresma. IMO quaresma lacks delivery, and doesn't have the correct mentality for where i think the team is headed (commited players who work hard for each other). it would be the quaresma show if we bought him.

back to the article, if we are interested in milito then it would mean one of bent or pav would leave surely? we cannot have 5 strikers

I agree, with Downing we have two dedicated wide men, left and right, with back-up in our squad (O'Hara, Dos Santos, Modric even Bale, left and Bentley (to be replaced), Hutton, Taarabt).

Bent will go, and hopefully be replaced with a YETI forward for all these crosses coming from the wing. Id prefer to revamp the Centre midfield as I beleve we should only keep Wilson, Luka and Ohara (maybe Thudd). The rest are not good enough for the next step.

i like pav but he is not a banger & thats what u need, torres backs up pace/skill with proper number 9 getting in the box aggression.Bent is never gonna be more than a head down hope for the best striker. another Andy Cole who without a clever Cantona or Yorke always needs 5 shots to score a goal.

sell them both, let harry get strikers in.He discovered Defoe,Kanuote,Yakubu, got the best out of Di canio when everybody thought he was finished. i hate strikers that cant create a chance or finish, let them go & play for reading or wolves..

Using both legs is always useful as a footballer
  9. puppa_toni
From what i've heard Keane could use three.
  10. bomber
huntelaar is playing quite regularly and has 8 goals in ten games since joining.doubt madrid are gonna even consider letting anyone talk to him
  11. Mullers
    Four strikers not enough?
  12. Real_madyidd

Why would he be unhappy? At the worlds biggest club, playing most of the time, scoring, adored by the fans, on massive wages and living in the sun. Yeah, he must be close to suicide.

O'Hara?! I am sorry but I don't think this guy is of the right standard. People mention his big heart but I don't see him putting in any more effort than most of the rest of our team now. Unfortunately for him is not very good at anything and average at most things. He is relatively slow, has average skill and has average set piece work. His finishing is decent, but not amasing, and his defending was good in one game (against Ronaldo) but, other than that he has been average at best.

Hudd on the other hand does have some weaknesses but is an exceptional passer of the ball. Jenas has great energy and uses it to cover so much ground. He is also fast, has a bit of skill (maybe not quitre as good as O'Hara but decent) and scores goals. Even Zokora is ahead of O'Hara in my mind even though I am not that keen on him. He has speed, covers well, is flexible and does those driving runs. Can't score for love nor money though.
