I'll sound like a terrible snob, but fuck it, and say though that personally I don't really rate the views of 99% of Spurs fans though so putting together a panel of fans would be nigh on impossible
you know what they say, if you're not sure who the asshole in the group is, it's you...

I say go for it. I admire anyone with this sort of drive, I wish I had more myself.

Go for it. The challenge these days is building the audience, not cheap and not easy. Quite a lot of investment has gone into Arsenal Fans TV and let's be honest if Wenger goes in the Summer there is no real point of discussion for them anymore nor a reason for the content to go national.

In terms of new ideas ...

- Fans collective polls on team and tactics,
- celebrity fans views (there are a few who are regularly at Spurs and will boost ratings)
- ask club to let you have access to parts of stadium on match day so fans from across the world can experience the lane in the run up, during and post the match (live stream elements of this)
- Spurs are the best club by a country mile with their use of legends (sometimes 20+ on a match day) find a way to bring them in for segments, hearing Ossie or Clive Allen discuss predictions for the game with fans is much more palatable than another rant that Davies is starting again! ;-)

Anyway, good luck. The area is right for innovation if done well!

Oh and if you find the need for a slot containing a troupe of well hung Bulgarian albino acrobat dwarfs specialising in bukkake by trapeze let me know and i'll put you in touch.

Im not sure if Robbie from AFTV tells the truth when he explains he set it up to give the fans a voice and to show what 'the average fan' thinks. What it has spawned are celebrity hungry nobheads who think their opinion is worth more because they attend and because they are on tv. DT is on a mission to become famous and i wonder whether the channel should facilitate that. They also charter flights to games and profit very well from it. It doesn't sit well with me.

Furthermore It was ironic when DT tried to articulate his argument for taking out a banner which was respectful and well considered and polite to Gary Neville who bought that tripe...when in reality after their lose to Chelsea he told the pro wenger fans to fuck off and leave the club in an overtly aggressive manner.

Good luck to you but you do realise what you will spawn. Its tantamount to giving the spurs community match day thread a pedistool and wider audience.

Personally id leave it to them lot to make a wider fool of themselves.

Maybe to make it a bit more interesting, you could add a short clip of an interview (taken elsewhere earlier) with a current player, ex-player, youth player, coach, ex-coach, pundit, journo, agent or someone connected with the club and add it to your weekly vids/shows.

This. If you want to do it, do it. Keep thick skin, remember everyone's a critic and try to filter the constructive criticism from the trolling, but go for it - you might end up giving it up after a couple of weeks, but you might find yourself, three years from now, getting ready to go live on national radio or something all because you had the gumption to give it a crack.

Do it, have fun, best of luck (y)

Even if it's not what you intend, you could well end up going the sensationalist/ranting route as that's where that views and LadBible/Joe retweets lie

If you stay true to a vision of a channel away from that, and don't chase the easy money, it could be good

One word to the wise: Make sure one of your team is naturally a funny writer. You can't fake that, you'll need scripts, and there's nothing worse than unfunny shows trying to be funny

Most of the comments i've read so far seems to assume the worst.......People do know this isn't going to go out live right? Just because you stick a camera in someone's face doesn't mean it has to be published.

Have you thought about interviewing some of the match day thread regulars? :woot:

I'd be a bit choosy when picking 'victims'......Just go for anyone who is slurring their words, cannot walk in a straight line and is wearing Stone Island gear and you'll be fine, or that guy who posted that Levy rant on Facebook.........but seriously, good luck with it. I'm sure you'll find your feet as you go, there are sensible supporters out there, not everyone turns into an uncontrollabe rage baby after a defeat. oops sorry, shows 'passion' (guffaw)

Oh and maybe get fans views during the game or at half time? I'm not sure I seen that on ATV..........Probably a crap idea but there you go........I'm full of them bad boys :cautious:
Uncontrollable rage baby :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
Brilliant.

Exactly, you regret the things you don't do more than the things you don't do. But as you have said if you put yourself out there you invite criticism. While they tried it with Spurred ON I really found it cringy, all of it from the presenter to the content. The Barnarby guy was on that documentary on Poch recounting the Rose story as if he was actually there. Very cringy.

Also and understandably many are making comparison to AFTV but there are the exception not the norm. There are so many channels out there at the moment that do good stuff but aren't known because they don't contain tools ranting. If you do it properly it will be more like the other clubs, less entertaining but less of a circus, but I don't get why everyone thinks it will be like AFTV when they are only one among a number of fan channels.

As much as it pains me to say it West ham fan tv don't do a bad job. yes you get the occasional nutter outside the ground but at the end of each game day they all sit round, have a beer and discuss the game much like a standard group of mates do. It allows a bit more of a level headed approach when people have calmed down.

Post match pint on West Ham fan tv is good I agree.

Fan cams are rubbish if the person being interviewed is as thick as mince.

Hello, fellow yido's,

My brother and I are currently in Discussion's with a production company to start a spurs fans youtube channel. we are both season ticket holders, have had it for 7 years and have been going to Spurs for over 15 years. This is something we are extremely passionate and excited about starting but we wanted to get some input from you guys before we started shooting content and making video's. we are well aware of what Arsenal Fan TV is and how fan's perceive it, i can not make it any clearer that we do not want to be like Arsenal Fan TV. We want a channel that is authentic and one we can put our on stamp on, but we also want a channel spurs fans can be proud of.

So we have a decision to make, we want to be a voice and give a voice to Spurs but we are unsure if fan cams are the way to go with our fanbase. the reason is because we either go for the reactionary fans to get views or no one will watch our channel, as we saw with SpurredOn, its that simple really. but if we don't do fancams then how do we give a voice to other spurs fans who want to be heard and want their shared? that is our dilemma. we want to hear your opinions.

now i expect some push back to this, i understand that there will fans who are worried about turning our fan base into a laughing stock or something, but this will not deter us so i would ask to try and keep comments constructive as opposed to "don't bother" or "just don't" but obviously that's up to you guys. Any Content Suggestions or anything you guys particularly want to see are welcome.

Thank you for reading, looking forward to hearing your opinions.

Here is a link to our twitter page

https://twitter.com/OneHotspurTV

Agree with some of the other posters, get a bunch of knowledgable fans (I assume you and your brother are) with diverse opinions and do a post match pint like West Ham Fan TV with 4-5 guys after the game to have a thoughtful discussion. That way it will have little chance of becoming a joke like Arse Fan TV and provide Spurs fans with a bit of entertainment.

That's not to say you can't get us regular Joe's in but just not straight after the game when everyone is going crazy.

Absolutely deluded if you think it will be radically different to Arsenal TV.

All big Clubs have some idiotic fans who will rant in an idiotic fashion if given the chance and opposition fans will marvel in it.

I expect it to go this way though, everyone trying to follow suit and make an easy buck.

I'm genuinely praying it doesn't happen to our club, it's embarrassing.

Not personally in favour of a post match fan video channel but Arse Fan TV is a completely different level to the other fan channels in terms of knobs, either Arsenal are a entire fan base of knobs or Arse Fan TV is good at getting them.

West Ham fan TV post match pint is a very acceptable type of format, long enough after the game and just a few normal blokes debating the game for the most part reasonably. If they went down that route there would be little to no embrassement.
