opta counted kane and jan's assists vs dortmund. certainly don't see why kane's wouldn't be counted, it was a clean pass which son ran onto and scored from. jan's is a little more dubious as it was just a clearance down the line but no dortmund player touched the ball in between him clearing it and kane sticking it in the net so technically it still goes down as an assist.

here's the goals for reference:

son goal (kane assist)

kane goal (jan assist)
Why hasn't Kane got a CL assist for releasing Son v Dortmund?
See above. It's been put forward to the committee.

It wasn't Even a hoof it was successful pass that led to a goal.

Assists have always been a silly stat though.

For me a deflected cross, pass or winning a free kick/Pen should all count as assists because that move led to the goal. I never understood why intent was always perceived as important

v Nikosia
3 goals Kane
1 assist for Toby, Trippier and Sissoko

Kane now up to 9 goals in total already, Trippier with one assist in each competition we played so far.

v Huddersfield

2 goals Kane
1 goal 1 assist Davies
2 assists Trippier
1 goal Sissoko

Probably the FA will remove Sissokos goal (and a Davies assist) for an OG, but as it stands they count.
Kane with 11 goals in September and our FB are pretty effective.

I don't know if this is the right section, apologies if it isn't, but Kane's second goal against Huddersfield was a carbon copy of a couple of Gareth Bale's best efforts.

v Liverpool

2 goals 1 assist for Kane
1 goal for Son
1 goal for Dele
1 assist for Trippier

Trippier already has 4 assists in the Premier League with limited game time, Son with his first point in the Premier League this season.

It’s mental that Kane is already on 13 goals and it’s not even November yet. He’s an absolute phenomenon.
Four seasons ago Adebayor finished our highest goalscorer in all competitions on 14 goals.

It's amazing how far we've come since then.
