You know, this is interesting. Initially I thought the ball rebounded off the defender from Dele's shot into Eriksen's path, but I've seen a number of people on social media and elsewhere say that if you actually look at it closely it was a deliberate back heel flick to Eriksen.

After having looked at it a few more times I honestly still can't tell which one it is.

For me it’s definitely a dele assist, clearly backed heeled it but some reason never got it

In my view a United defender touched it in another direction. Thats enough to give no assist by the Premier League. But haven't seen the replays.
I will strictly follow the stats of the official BPL site. So any complains in their direction please

It was backed heeled by Dele but did touch the defenders foot although I’m not sure it would’ve mattered.

Not just the PL but all stats pages never gave it so maybe we are wrong

It definitley matters when it hits an opponent player on the way. Never gets rewarded with an assist in these cases as far as I reckon.

At the game I thought it was a ricochet but I thought the replay clearly showed a Dele backheel. Brilliant piece of skill.
