Christian Eriksen goes on top with two assists and a great game at Newcastle.

Thanks in advance for any help to keep this thread correct. :)

Because assists have never been credited for own goals and nor should they, it's like giving an assist to Rose for his cross last season against Man City when Kolarov scored the O.G, it's nonsense really.
They're given on the official fantasy premier league statistics, there's always been some debate as to whether or not it should count as the player making the pass directly leading to the O.G still 'assisted' in creating the goal, in spite of who put it in the net.

Oh...I see lol :sour:

Guess it's subjective and a matter of interpretation then, I tend to follow the official PL stats though.

Always fun to make this update after a good win.

Jan Vertonghen, who had no goal or assist in 15/16 and 16/17 gets a brillant assist by hoofing the ball in the air near his own box. :D
Kane 2 goals and an assist, Son a goal and Eriksen an assist.

I don't think Jan or Kane counted as assists though. Probably better to check the official stats, but i think they dribbled too long for it to count.

Well official Page has no assist for Jan and Harry. Will remove their assists when I am back from work. Shame.

opta counted kane and jan's assists vs dortmund. certainly don't see why kane's wouldn't be counted, it was a clean pass which son ran onto and scored from. jan's is a little more dubious as it was just a clearance down the line but no dortmund player touched the ball in between him clearing it and kane sticking it in the net so technically it still goes down as an assist.

here's the goals for reference:

son goal (kane assist)

kane goal (jan assist)
