Lamela should really have 10+ assists this season. Off the top of my head, I can think of at least 3 through balls where he put Kane through that he didn't score (Leicester, Villa, Stoke). His vision is only matched by Eriksen, but even then, Eriksen doesn't play the same type of through balls Lamela does.

I predict next season he'll get 10 league goals and 10 league assists.

Considering Lamela got subbed on 60 minutes in so many games regardless of how he was playing I think his stats for goals and assists are very good.
Shame this table doesn't include or/and can't quite quantify work ethic, tackles, spirit and aggression.

what does it prove? not a lot really

I think a handicapping system needs to be introduced next season as some players do seem to attract x amount of votes regardless of how they play while others can have blinders and barely get a vote. I also think the person starting the match rating thread should wait a day before giving his marks, as that way he couldn't be accused of trying to set an agenda.

I didn't expect you to take Lamela being voted MOTM more times than others very well.

My post had nothing to do with Lamela. I was actually really pleased for him that he was top of the MOTM poll of polls, especially as he missed out on a top 3 place in the combined goals and assists chart. I guess Kane, Alli, Eriksen and others will have to up their games next year if they want to claim the crown from Lamela.

Bot a huge number of assists coming from our fullbacks considering that in this system they provide most of our width.
