Tottenham Hotspur are pushing to sign Barcelona youngster Dani Rodriguez in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Spurs’ recruitment has been excellent over the last year. They’ve finally got their priorities right, and Rodriguez could be the next big talent to make the move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Great signing, does anyone know what position he plays?
Left wing I think.

I'm sceptical about buying players too young.

Seems to me that signed players who are years away from being ready for the first team pretty much never make it at the club.

Players like Bale, Lennon and Rose who needed some developing but were good enough to play for us within a few seasons succeed, but the ones that are years away generally don't.

It's true what you say but these lads we are signing hsve been highly sought after. They are clearly a step up from the past hobbledehoys.

My point isn’t necessarily about their potential ability.

Gil was very highly rated but not physically ready for the Prem. It’s my belief that him joining us too early has hindered him.

If this player isn’t ready to play for us within 2 seasons then great. But if he’s going to need several seasons of development then we should steer clear in my view.

Last Dani wonderkid to leave Barcelona was Olmo and he is great. Flawless logic says that we should sign him.
