The NFL has announced that Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is now officially the "Home of the NFL”, in the United Kingdom. The expanded partnership assures at least two NFL regular season games will be played at the facility every season through 2030.

Why ugh? We have a completely different pitch for them to use and they'll use it on non football days. This will also bring bigger sponsors into the fold. Commercially it is a cracking deal whether people like it or not.

Ohhhh it's because the money generated doesn't go back into the team isn't? Right?

More exposure for Spurs and the stadium, has to be good, the amount of exposure in North America is quite astounding and this list of supporters clubs who's interest is football not NFL just amazing..

Money is money. I have zero care for NFL, but whatever strengthens the coffers is good. I will welcome the Tottenham Cockerels NFL team with open arms.

With WWE's partnership with the NFL and their legacy belts (except for Tony's Jaguars) I have a faint hope this opens up that forbidden door for a Mania or something down the line..

No I will not let this dream die. :cautious:

"There used to be a football club over there."

Was a newspaper headline written by Ken Jones, and in his own words in a later article, not actually said by Burkinshaw . Fake news around in the 80's.

"Since it sounded better in his words than mine, I gladly blessed Burkinshaw with a phrase that is embedded in the lore of English football."

Perhaps instead of NFL we should have had a dog track just like Stamford Bridge

It's just a continuation and expansion of White Hart Lane's 100+ year history of hosting various different sports. It hosted baseball in the 1900s (Tottenham were champions in 1906 & 1908), boxing at WHL dates back to the 1920s, American Football was first played there in the 90s.

Honestly, this deal is probably a contributing factor to whatever stadium sponsor we're apparently talking to being interested. Big opportunity to get your brand all over a US market without directly marketing in America, probably quite a draw.

Just reading that the 2 games coming up will generate £10m. That’s not including hospitality which for a 4 hour game is going to be lucrative to say the least.

Think it's been reported before that NFL pay a fee for stadium use and keep all the gate receipts, Spurs get all the profit from catering.

PS
NFL game brings in higher gate receipts than a Premier League catA match , tomorrows general admission prices south stand standing section £119 , west stand lower tier £144 , compare that to a PL cat A match , SS standing £78, west stand lower £103
