Anyone watch City today? Chelsea tried to stifle them and City were made to look pedestrian at times. They weren't. They were in control other, kept the ball, mostly at the back and in midfield and still in the final couple of minutes Chelsea could have tied it. Looked like a few of our games. We have learned to be patient and wear teams down. Chelsea like Huddersfield made it difficult with their set ups. Can't play fluid attacking football all the time especially when the opposition has no interest in making it an open game.

Chelsea had two International accredited target men on the bench
who they saved for the last few minutes
and played an isolated Hazard as a false nine.
This from a master tactician.
it didn't even nearly work..
I think he over thought this one.
Sometimes the simple and obvious is the way to go.

Man C were not even bothered about getting men in the box the last 15 mins and just played keep ball on the half way line. It could have backfired on them if Alonso had not mis hit his half chance at the death. I would expect us to go for the 2nd goal with more urgency than City had yesterday.

I think sometimes when you have a big game coming up in a few days (same as us in the last 20 minutes against Huddersfield), you just need to try to keep the ball and win the game at a canter instead of running into trouble at pace without control and loosing the ball as we used to do. Lack of maturity.

.............. Dele was pretty average the whole second half yesterday, he's unpredictable so you never know what will happen, but i do get really annoyed when thr ball is played into his feet and he gives away possession easily 50% of the time being very casual .........

gonna start to calling him dilly-dalli

You did, on the right hand side, popped the ball over the advancing players head and drove on to kick off an attack.

He seems to be gradually improving and looks a lot more confident. Pleased for the guy.

Hopefully some potential buyers see it that way too.....

Totally agree. Which is why you need the 2nd goal. We got it, they didn't even try to.

At times yesterday City would work the ball behind the FBs and look up for a pull back or cross and there wasn't a City player inside, or even anywhere near, the box. It added to the boring game.

I forgot they only scored once.

On my 25th birthday I had a night out with my uni mates, mates from home, and my fiancée and her mates. In a nightclub in Newcastle at 3am, missus went to the bar, asked for a bunch of double vodka and cokes, and one single v+c. The lass apparently said "they're all doubles here". My missus informed me of this, and I thought " hang on, I've been drinking doubles all night?"

At which point my brain went *piff*, my legs went, and I slid down the side of the DJ booth. Two mates dragged me out of the club, and set me down outside for some air while they gathered everyone else together, and I passed out.

I was told later that my fiancée came out to sit with me, couldn't find me, went back in to see if I'd gone in and said "where is he? There's only this homeless guy outside..."

So my own future bride thought I was a vagrant, and I'd pitched sideways and vomited in the bins.

That... Might've been too drunk.

Moral of this story: You lack mentality! :D
