Live Media Coverage

Match:
Champions League - Round of 16 (2nd leg)

When: Wednesday March 7th, 2018

Where: Wembley

Kick Off: 7:45pm

Referee: Szymon Marcinak (Poland)

Team Form: Spurs DDWWW Juventus WDWWW

83% of teams to have drawn 2-2 away in the first eg of a CL knock out tie have progressed to the next round (10 out of 12). In the first leg, we became the 1st team to overturn a 2 goal deficit at the Allianz Stadium since Juventus moved to the venue in 2011.

We are one of three teams still unbeaten in this season's CL alongside Barcelona and Liverpool. We have won our 4 games at Wembley in the CL, our longest home run in the competition. We have also scored exactly 3 games in each of those games.

3-1 vs CSKA Moscow (last season)
3-1 vs Borussia Dortmund
3-1 vs Real Madrid
3-0 vs Apoel Nicosia
However we have only kept 1 clean sheet in our 5 CL games at Wembley.

Juventus have lost only 1 of their last 7 away games in the CL knockout stage (W3 D3) keeping a clean sheet in each of their last 3 outings. 70% of Juventus' goals in this season's CL have come in the opening or closing 15 minutes of the game (7 out of 9 ). They have reached the final of the CL in 2 of the last 3 seasons whilst we have reached the quarter finals only once previously, back in 2010/11.

Harry Kane is directly involved in 53% of our goals in this season's CL, scoring 7 and assisting in 2 of our 17 goals. He has also scored 9 goals in his first 9 goals CL appearances, making im the fastest player to reach the 9 goal tally in the competition.

Dele Ali has assisted 4 of our last 7 CL goals. He also won the free kick that led to Eriksen's direct free kick equalizer against Juventus in the first leg.

Gonzalo Higuaín has scored 4 goals in his last 4 CL knockout games, double the number he scored in his previous 24 games (2).

Gianuiga Buffon is one clean sheet away from his 50th in the CL. Only two goalkeepers have more ( Iker Casillas 55, Edwin van der Sar 50)

I think a lot of fans will underestimate Matuidi and Dybala’s impact on the side. Matuidi will not allow us to dominate midfield as easily and Dybala will probably be the best attacking midfielder on the pitch.

I think we’ve shown enough in big games at home in 2018 to suggest we’ll win but fuck me were in for a ride.

Absolutely love the Champions League.

I have the same buzzy feeling about this as i had for the Man u game and the Arsenal.

I feel our players feel like this with an absolute buzz inside of them ready to hound and press the crap out of them.

Caged lions ready to be released into a field of Zebra's.

Juve wear black and white stripes

Just realised we’ve scored in our last 25 matches which is a bit crazy. Wonder what club record is? Anyways one more tomorrow and they need 2. Chasing a game is not juves thing.

There's been some great wins at Wembley this season, but if we progress tomorrow that will top the lot... Real Madrid included.

I'd love to get through tomorrow obviously but I kind of see the champions league as a free hit this season, with the FA cup and league being priorities, and anything more then the memories it's already given us will be a bonus.

That's being I'll probs be shitting it for 90 mins anyway, a nervy 1-1 COYS

This is what it's all about. The difference between the two clubs is their players and coach are well acquainted with the latter stages of this competition. They've done this before and they know they can do it. Nerves aren't going to be an issue for them.

That's what we have to step up to. And it's down to the way Pochettino has the players minds set. Madrid did what was needed to do tonight. They weren't great but they got the job done confortably. Juventus are in that bracket - very capable of imposing themselves and grinding out a 0-1 or a 1-2 as Madrid did tonight.

I don't think they are. This is an Italian side, after all. I fully expect them to try to stop us playing and then sneak a goal, which is all they need.

0-0 for 70 minutes, than ramp up the pressure, look for a dodgy call in the box...
