Fa cup and top 4 now will do nicely. It’s not over just yet folks.

Pissed the dippers have now gone further than us though. Brother is a dipper but has been surprisingly pro-spurs tonight. I hate the dippers full stop.

As well as the players having a lot to learn so does Poch. 25 minutes to go needing to score and you only use two of your subs and leave a potential game changer in Lucas on the bench is insanity.
Gutted because overall we deserved to go through.

Chiellini went from Sunday league clogger to top class in the space of 15 mins.
Burly, tall and scruffy. Intimidating tactics. Whiny when things don't get their way. Play-acting to waste time. This is Juve for me now.

Only Buffon worth mentioning.

I know I'm prob just being a dick about it, but I really can't understand the amount of people whose reaction right now is "so proud of the lads bla bla"
I mean, of course I am really, but for FUCK sake !!! Anger and disappointment at a result like that, always. Been the same since I was a kid. Feel so fucked off

Mate the fallout from that defeat will likely fuck our season completely, can’t underestimate how much of a knock on effect that might have.

We have yet to prove we have the mentality to get over the line.

I am fuming, how can you have what is essentially a 2 goal lead at home in the CL and lose the game in the manner we did? I know Juve are a fantastic side but I just don’t understand how we can be so utterly dominant and then concede and lose the way we did.

Poch didn’t react to the changes Juve made, that was a massive part of the problem.

Changed your mind again huh, what a surprise lol

I don't see why everyone was saying Chiellini was brilliant tonight, I thought he and the rest of the defence struggled up until when they scored the 2 goals then they just shut up shop and he just threw himself at the ball a couple of times.

Agree was always told sign of a crap defender that constantly has to make last ditch tackles... but he’s proper good at it.

They cheat. And the referees are shit scared of them.

Proud of us tonight. Played really well over the two legs but I hope we learn our lesson. We need to be more clinical upfront of the net.

Oh. And carry on diving Deli.

If you can' beat them. Join them.

Wouldn’t say refs are shit scared of them I would say they play on the edge of the laws of the game

I would say that Poch was schooled tonight but I don't actually think he's capable of learning lessons. That Lucas was never subbed on absolutely beggars belief.

Allegri was proactive and absolutely seized the tie. Poch, stubborn to a fault as always, sat on his hands and did the square root of fuck all while we pissed it away. He's a fantastic manager but it is a huge failing.
Yup.

He is stubborn af, but he will learn in time.

Allegri accepted the fault he made and rectified it in one fell swoop before it was too late.

Big learning moment there for Poch.

One thing that has been highlighted tonight, as good as Davies and Trips have been, we seriously need pacey fullbacks, we'll not progress with what we have currently.

This.

Davies has been superb for us and has proved me wrong. Well almost. He' not quite up there with the best.

Good effort from us this year. We have achieved so much. I wasn't expecting us to do great in this competition with Wembley our stadium this year, but we have proved our ability against 2 of the best teams in Europe. Let's learn from this and get wiser and better.

Concentrate on the FA Cup and qualifying for next years Champions League now.

Agreed. Use this experience to spur us on for the rest of season and hopefully win the FA Cup. I think we'll motivated to play Bournemouth and hopefully Poch will make some changes for that game.

On a side note, its easier to say after the game, but i think the majority of us were surprised not to see Rose start & im afraid Davies was suspect in the second half defensively.

He was suspect defensively, there was a time when he was tracking back and just practically stopped because he couldn't keep up as well. I actually think he was more suspect offensively though, I just never have much confidence that he'll put the right ball in whenever the ball comes out to him in the final third. When the middle of the pitch is so cramped and he's one of our only 2 outlets, it makes life a lot easier for the opposing team. He sometimes gets the delivery right, but more so doesn't.

Agreed. I like them both, but I wouldn’t be sad to see them upgraded in the summer.

Our season would be looking very different if we had the Walker and Rose of two years ago.

It wasn't the experience on the pitch that mattered. It was the experience on the sidelines.
Yeah that’s a fair assessment imo. But it’s not a scathing criticism of Poch, just got to learn from it.

Some of the posters calling the result shameful and saying we bottled it are embarrassing. We didn’t lose through a lack of effort.
