theres no shame in losing to juventus, its just the way we lost which is the most annoying, clinching a top 4 place & winning the FA Cup will soften the blow, however should we fail with one of these or BOTH, it will be hugely disappointing

Everyone is an expert in hindsight in here!!

Proud of the team, we played well except for about 3minutes. Heartbreaking stuff.

Onwards and upwards, lets go unbeaten the rest of the season now

Literally anyone that says 'Poch should have done this,' or 'Poch should have done that' is talking absolute shit. Hindsight changes everything.

I'm just pissed off that we lost to that lot really.

So much diving and cheating over the two legs and I've no idea how Chiellini wasn't sent off in both games and Balzagi wasn't sent off today, but fuck it. Frustrating.

We gave it a go, we dominated large parts of the game but our finishing let us down today.

The pub was in shock when Juve got their first and it is by no means a Tottenham crowd where I live. Learning curve.
Don’t think hey dived and cheated that much just an experienced side.

Poch and the team will learn from this, you learn a lot more from defeats than you do from winning all the time.

Poch will learn to adapt quickly to tactical changes against top class teams. Each year he ups his game. We are still a young up and coming team.

It's disappointing to lose, but I like the level of competition the club is performing at.

Agree, although whatever alegri did factually 5 Mins before their goals won them the game, we couldn’t cope with it.

What was to change? We were on top.

After that we were shell shocked and then we got back on top
I disagree that we were on top, go back and look at the comments in this thread when they scored the first goal and you'll see a chorus of "it was coming." Allegri changed it up to exploit the flanks and we could have switched to a back three to neutralize Trippier and Davies' weaknesses but we didn't. And I don't think it's the case that we got back on top so much as it is that they shut up shop.

Regardless, we gave a pretty good account of ourselves in the competition this season and hopefully will learn that at this level you cannot ever for a moment switch off the way we did at the beginning of the first leg or in those five minutes tonight. Now we need to concentrate on qualifying again so we can give it another go next year.

Yup.

He is stubborn af, but he will learn in time.

Allegri accepted the fault he made and rectified it in one fell swoop before it was too late.

Big learning moment there for Poch.
All ifs and buts Poch got done by an old wise head and didn’t know how to react. Poch has got to be braver especially when it comes to making subs. What the fuck is Llorente going to do in 5 mins against a class defence like Juve. We spent 25 mil on a class player hasn’t had a look in, baffles me. As soon as we went 2-1 down Poch should of reacted in a way to get us back in the game. Moura would of been ideal with his pace against a tiring defence. Along with Lamela but Poch has got the bollocks to change it sooner and I’m afraid that is why he will not win anything in my opinion. Great manager but not astute enough. Chin up everyone COYS

Great European campaign, but we have to be more ruthless when we're on top.

Top teams like Juventus will create chances at some stage. Harsh to criticise us for that , but its the wasted chances that cost us tonight.
They had 2 chances and took them. We had numerous chances and took just the one.

Absolute fucking shambles. They should be embarrassed with their second half performance. Not a single player can take any credit from that game, from Lloris to Kane we were not good enough.

There' a lot more to it than that.

That's the problem. Not one player stepped up today when the going got tough. We were the better team for 160 out of 180 minutes this tie. But in those 20 minutes when things fell apart and mentalities were tested, we collapsed.

Hugo, while I love him, is not a captain. Michael Dawson, Scott Parker, hell even Younes Kaboul. Those are captains, those are leaders. Those are the players who'll run 100 yards across the pitch to defend a player in a confrontation, those are the guys who will yell at you, who will huddle up the team and motivate a side to run through walls. It's not good enough just to lead by ability and what you do on the field at this level. And while our squad improves skill-wise every season, we never end up with a general on the field.

There's no leader in the side. I can't even think of one in the squad. Juve have about 5 of them. That's the difference.

Some of you lot here were very positive and amazing.

Admire.

I thought I can live with disappointments for supporting Spurs. But I still feel so shit after all these years when such results came.

It's done now.. Let's win the FA Cup and finish in the top 4
Poch failed to react to there change and in that period our defence lost concentration and the game.
