I so wanted to see us play Barca :(

Maybe next year.

Regardless of how the rest of the season pans out we've a shiny brand new stadium to look forward to next season, its a great time to be Spurs.

Masterclass from Juve they were getting done targeted a couple of our players Dele mainly and kicked us off the park lucky not to get A player sent off pjanic should of gone
Then got two chances scored them both.
We were the better team over the two legs I think but end up out.
I dunno maybe
We need that cynicism win at all costs but it just ain’t spurs

I think we have lost something like once in eighteen games, the first loss this year, and obviously none in the PL. I can remember days when i would yearn for a win, any win, a draw even.

I am not overly disappointed to be honest, because we have played an exceptional team, with huge CL experience and a fairly easy to contend with.

The big, big difference is the gap in quality, and what i mean by this is that we absolutely have to have every player play to their best whereas teams like Juve can carry one maybe two players not quite at their best and still win. Tonight i feel we see that in spades.

Like i said no great shakes from me in the loss, and it may well actually benefit us from now until season end. Great opportunity now in the FA Cup, possibly a top four finish so plenty top look forward to and not back.

I agree on everything apart from the difference in quality, tonights result was decided by small margins.

Higuain vs kane

Higuain scored 3 goals whereas our kane scored only 1 goal in the 2 match ... That's where the game is won or lost

After the disappointment of going out of the CL, I hope that there will be a few announcements on new contracts for some of our more important players in the coming days/weeks ahead to brighten up the dour atmosphere.

20 "fouls" committed by Spurs last night. Only 12 by Juve but our players had to be treated by physio 5 times. Juve physio didn't even have to get up off the bench. They're absolutely filthy and they do it in a way that it's off the ball and the referee isn't looking. If that prick had his eyes open Barzagli would have been off for that disgusting stamp on Son. Don't tell me it wasn't intentional. Son was giving him a new arsehole and he knew it.

We should have been playing against 10 for 45 minutes. Felt like 12 for a lot of the game.

At least in the PL, there's the likelihood that this type of serious foul play will be punished retrospectively. Am I right in assuming that this isn't the case in the CL?

No idea. I'm sure UEFA thought the officials had a great game. Even the added time at the end of the game was queationable though. Had Juve been chasing a goal I'm sure there would have been minimum of 5.

We have a lot to be proud of fantastic new stadium to take us among the elite with an equally impressive team that needs to deliver more than just promise moving forward.
Last night was a tough one to take but after taking the lead we were slightly guilty of being architect's of our own downfall with sloppy play in conceding two quick goals but also the age old problems of not converting our chances.
Sonny who I think is a great little player only hit the target once from about 6/7 chances which at this level is not good enough, but we have seen this many times this season we dominate but struggle to convert into goals.
Still we have so much to be proud of and hopefully the club will be better off for the experience and come summer we will have a shiny new stadium, CL football again and some quality additions to kick us on.
We are proud we are Tottenham.

I have no problems with losing yesterday. It was a great run in the CL this year.

I just hope we bounce back and win our next PL game. Please spurs don't collapse now :( I believe it was huge dissapointment in the dressing room yesterday

Absolutely gutted this morning, the reality of how close we were has sunk in...very fine margins but you dont get a better opportunity to progress against a top top side than that.

Proper bitter this morning so fuck Juve the cheating tosspots.

Proud of a young team, but experience and know how told last night. We have to be more clinical in games like this. I believe we are a better footballing side than Juve but they were better winners last night.

Onwards we go, let’s hope the boys don’t dwell on this. I am desperate to lift the fa cup and banish us from this trophieless purgatory.

Same, thought we played well, and the game was there for either side after the Juve substitutions. We came back but they are a canny side and we were out done in a 5 minute spell. We never adapted quick enough to their change.

In the last 2 games against Dortmund and Madrid we won because we took all our big chances. As soon as we didn’t do that in the first half yesterday I thought we’d be in trouble. Had we been a little bit sharper then things might have been different.

Like others have said though, we must learn from this, if not, the defeat will become even more painful. Use it and it might help us win an FA Cup this season or do better next year in the champions league if we qualify.

I have said it and will continue to. Kane's conversion rate is simply not good enough. Higuain has 1, ONE chance last night and buries it and it was no sitter. Kane didn't. As fantastic as he is and he IS, he needs to get that part of the game in order for us to really compete.

After they scored we should have shut up shop and let heads cool. Instead we charged but the boys' heads were gone. They on the other hand hit us with a lightening combo and hid behind a double guard.
If we learn from this we will be truly great in the near future.

We seem to be saying this game after game now, that we didn't take our chances. Has it really become a bad habit of ours?

I like others have said woke up feeling shit, can't remember having a game dwell on me like this for a while, not even the NLD at the Emirates. Exactly like @IfiHadTheWings said, it was such a good opportunity to beat a top team like that, gain good recognition, face another exciting challenge etc. And it hurts even more because we really should have gone through.

Kane didn't lose us this tie. Our forwards scored 3 goals against supposedly the best defence in the world tm. Our lack of quality in the FB positions is what did it for me, I think we definitely need to relook at these positions.
